I haven't read ANYTHING except the OP so I'll just chime in this about Mormonism.

Mormons, for the most part (however the rate at which Mormonism is spreading is alarming (especially in other countries)) is practiced in Utah. Utah (for the most part) is a desert. People that live in deserts are crazy because you have to be crazy to live in a desert. Whether Mormons are crazy because they live in a desert, or if they live in a desert because they were crazy is up for debate but one thing is for sure. Mormons are Crazy, and whats even crazier are the Mormons that don't even live in a desert.

Self preservation and procreation are two of the strongest forces in the universe. Every life form in the universe has the desire to perpetuate it's own species, God included. The day I realized this was the day that I saw the truth in Mormonism.

We are all sons and daughters of God, we are his offspring and we have the potential to be just like Him...

“The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Romans 8:16-17)

Those of us that have properly prepared for the job will one day have the opportunity to populate a planet with our own offspring just as our Father did for us.

Ok, not bad. Most Mormons dodge that question - you're the first one to give me a straightforward answer on an open forum. Good scriptural reference to use - not bad. I disagree in God being a "species" though - kinda bringing the Creator down to the level of one of His creations. At any rate is there any reference in the Bible that would lead one to believe we each get our own planet to play with?

This is probably due to the tremendous mission program that the Mormon church has. I wouldn't call it "alarming", so much as I would call it "earned".
