P.S. How can you be "way too eliminated"?

England won't beat the Germans, nor shall they beat Argentina, they shall then fail to beat either Portugal or Spain and, finally, shall not beat Brazil...

...I've got most predictions wrong in this tourney so far so am sneakily going for the reverse psychology approach [-o<

i hope that works.. because if ALL your predictions are wrong, that means england wouldnt not beat MEXICO, instead of argentina.

lol, worth a shot tho...

I really want England to bring their A game to beat Germany but both are on my list for the WC, so who ever wins is fine i guess. I wish England would step up their game tho, lots of good players just not working good together, and please don't play like the States did tonight, i can't bear to watch something like that again.

Agreed, England have been embarrassingly shabby so far. USA played ok, they weren't crap or anything, just didn't get the breaks. Altidor was unlucky with his shot when he was lying down, that would've been a great goal, just a bit unlucky...

NO! Support England! We supported you against the French right after you beat us in the War of Independence, where's your loyalty?! ;)

*EDIT* Another reason to support England against Germany is that Germany have not failed to reach the quarters since 1938. We all remember the epic backlash THAT caused and I for one would be intrigued if it could be scientifically proven that it was actually the national wrath at having failed at footy that was the reason for the Nazi's vicious inhumane rampage across the globe! :D

I disagree with most of you. I think USA plays well, have a crack in the team and was unlucky.

I predict USA will be world champion before 2030.

Every team does it...the only reason the US hasnt done it this tournament, is that they havnt been in a position to do it.

Because the US would be the only team to actually get carded for it.

Okay honestly, I'm as pissed about the two disallowed goals as anyone, but blaming the refs, especially for this last game, just puts the US in a bad light. My only quarrel with the ref was that he didn't put four or five added minutes on instead of three. But really.

Are you kidding, at the end of extra time? The half is only 15 minutes long, 4 minutes of injury time would be equivelant to 12 minutes in a normal half.

No, the ref was overall fine in this game. I'm just saying that it's why the US team wouldn't flop around the pitch.

ASAMOAHHHHHH GYAAAAAAAAN!
(just very happy I picked that one for my fantasy team )
USA weren't crap, but were playing a different game than Ghana. Kick & rush, fall like a wuss at any contact, seek penalties the whole second half. A pity Ayew will be suspended for the quarters, he was great there, I still think they can take on Uruguay though.
Bigger games tomorrow, I hope Germany won't play "to not lose" as they might have the most creative german team in ages, and while Mexico has qualities I can't see them upsetting a (mostly) well rested Argentina. Hoping to see that awesome quarterfinal at least :D
