Team Games Query?

Post by kevinc »

I'm new to team games and have a quick question.

I know you have to announce alliances in the in game chat box, but what's the story with team games?

Do you have to discuss strategy openly or is email/PMs okay?

Thanks

in team games you do not have to announce your alliance with your team mate. And you can talk stratagey through email, PMs, telephone, IMs. Pretty much any way you want.

Double/Triples - Okay to send a private message?

Post by fordhamflash »

If you are playing doubles/triples. Is it cool to send private messages to your "teammates" to discuss strategy or is that illegal / frowned upon?

Thanks.

yup, in a team match, and alliance is assumed and therefore it's oky doky to talk outside the game

personal messages in doubles/triples [Answered]

Post by I AM AMAZING »

is it ok to send a personal message to your teammate about wat our strategy should be in the game, or is that considered cheating because it isnt in the game chat box for everyone to see. it seems like it'd be pretty hard to complete a strategy if everyone knew wat it was, so is personal messaging allowed?

yes of course it is allowed in dubs and trips to talk to your teamate through a secret chat. that is why that option is there.

LOL. Yes, it's ok. The alliance is kind of implied in a team game from the start.

When you post in the game chat though you see a box at the bottom as well. When you write in team games, you have the option whether to make a public post, or just a post for your team mates. The default setting is that your posts can only be read by your own team. So, when playing team, it may be easier to talk strategy in the game chat.
