I decided to make a map and focused on a playability idea that I liked, this is the result.

Yeah, I still view this as a sketch, it wouldn't take me very long to change the background if I need to, or the fonts. I was also thinking about changing the borders so the connections were more clear and maybe making them a bit more straight edge instead of curvy/jagged.oaktown wrote:haven't wrapped my brain around the game play yet, but I can tell you from experience that primary colors and black backgrounds don't go over too well. Also, the font is kinda sad looking.

No. It is like the center in CCU, you don't need to have it, but it really opens up the map and is strategically important.WidowMakers wrote:1)Do you need to own the center to own a color wedge?
3) Does the center get a bonus?
I really need to make that more clear somehow. You gain +3 if you own the three territories with the Bigger Army Circle that are usually the hardest to reach in each continent. So via your idea you would need Death, War, and Inspiration.WidowMakers wrote:2)Your allied Centers of power. DO you mean if you own Idea,Rage and Loss you get +3?
Yeah, it is like Space in that you need to own the borders to get your continent, and at the same time you are denying your neighbor theirs.WidowMakers wrote:4) I assume two bordering "thoughts" could not be held by 2 people since they share 1 territory?
I agree. To go one step further. Have a background image for each thought.hecter wrote:What if the border lines for each thought reflected the thought itself. Like for knowledge, you would have straight, even lines, but for war, it would be very chaotic. Just a thought (no pun intended).

you two should work something out together. Widowmakers is definitely kick ass at bringing maps to life grapgically and is excited about the idea. Any chance at seeing the both of you work together on this one???WidowMakers wrote:I wish I would have thought about this. I would love to do the graphics!
See the space map.Samus wrote:Interesting.....
Have you already considered the implications for team play? Obviously this means you cannot go for a region that directly borders one your partner has or is going for. I'm not saying that's bad, but what are your thoughts on this?

I would think what I would do on this map in a 3v3 situation is get one player a section and then be borders for the person we gave the section and instruct him/her to deploy for us.Samus wrote:Interesting.....

There is a possible chance on this end. I think Widowmakers is still busy with his own map. Otherwise I wouldn't be against handing it to him and saying make it look good, lol.Molacole wrote:you two should work something out together.
