Luvs the story. I already got opening tickets (38$ early bird. I'm so savvy!) Maybe get 200$ for them now?ViperOverLord wrote:It's official.
Wow I should have thought about that. I almost got season tix last season. I relied on my friend to make a decision and of course he didn't. I kick myself in the face for that.PoleDancer wrote:Luvs the story. I already got opening tickets (38$ early bird. I'm so savvy!) Maybe get 200$ for them now?ViperOverLord wrote:It's official.
Do not underestimate favre-mania. It's going to be a cold, cold winter...and this economy is going to fucking suck, and people are going to be "believing" in Favre n shit.
It's official that something is wrong with Brett Favre's back?ViperOverLord wrote:It's official.
Actually the details of his potential 20th season have not been stated yet, so I took some liberties. They'll probably have a press conference tomorrow. But he's back in Minnesota and he's already signed so the thought is he is planning to play.Woodruff wrote:It's official that something is wrong with Brett Favre's back?ViperOverLord wrote:It's official.
(This is how rumors start. <Grin>)
I like the fact that Jared Allen, Longwell, and hitchinson went down south to talk to Favre. I am only wondering what angle they played. Did Jared tell Favre to get his ass to pre-season? or did he give him the hero's flattery and talk about how the rookies need him and the team needs him>?ViperOverLord wrote:Actually the details of his potential 20th season have not been stated yet, so I took some liberties. They're in it to win it. You're basically saying they should be the Denver Broncos.maasman wrote:I'll say he's still a good qb, but minnesota is wasting money on him when they should invest in a good younger qb that will last more than 2 years.
Like Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfelt? Sorry there is no room ahead of Favre, but I hope there is a huge battle next year between 2 talented, HUNGRY, QB's. On the other hand, in the likely hood Favre might miss a game this year, they are most worthy back-upsmaasman wrote:I'll say he's still a good qb, but minnesota is wasting money on him when they should invest in a good younger qb that will last more than 2 years.
Minnesota has about as much of a chance with T-Jack as the Colts would have with whoever the hell is behind Manning.Phatscotty wrote:they are most worthy back-ups
I would rather build a team to last more than 2 years and be championship competitors in that time, than put all my effort into one all star team that will just fall apart when favre retires, and probably not be able to come close to the playoffs.ViperOverLord wrote:

Those two are not very good, minnesota will most likely fall apart when favre leaves, and childress will look like the fool he really is.Phatscotty wrote: Like Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfelt? Not true. The Vikes won their division with T-Jack. He's an OK QB. He's got solid pocket awareness and his passing game has improved under Favre's watch. But I do think he'll never be accurate. He could lead the Vikes to a championship but they'd have to rely more on defense and clock management.Frigidus wrote:Minnesota has about as much of a chance with T-Jack as the Colts would have with whoever the hell is behind Manning.Phatscotty wrote:they are most worthy back-ups
