After Aed's death in 878, his nephew, Eochaid, inherited the kingdom. But because he was not yet of age, his foster-father, Giric the son of Fortune, took the reigns of power in the young king's stead.
The tournament is a 32 player, 1v1 single-elimination style bracket on Scotland. With the semi-finals and finals being best of 3.
