I have to wonder...as the mod should you really be getting into this debate?

Mine didn't. My vote on edoc was a joke vote back from page 6.

Ah, well there is no relevant connection to the thread you gave then. Not that it matters...
You have had plenty of time to claim, I feel you are stalling especially seeing as how over half the town has expressed suspicion towards you. Vote Edocsil

This post kinda sounds like you're trying to peg Edoc for any little reason that you can. While a lot of us have cast suspicion on Edoc, has anyone really asked him to claim?
Well, you may have some point, but if this bandwagon provides neither info or a scum, it is pointless for town, can you tell me what you hope to achieve from being on this
Fircoal wrote:useless bandwagon.

for so long?

Honestly I don't know why I've been on it for so long. However I was on it because I thought it was scummy but not as scummy as the push to lynch him and have him claim. I was on because it was the scummiest thing at the moment and that it warranted a vote. However now I'm not so sure if that statement holds water.

Ok. At this point you've skimmed, editted a post, made a big deal about a small issue in one post, and now you've skimmed again. unvote vote icon

I suppose you're referring to the last line of my post, and I might agree if it didn't concern the rest of the post, but since it does I think I am licensed to comment. Also, isn't everyone thinking that? lol.
If you were refering to the response to ga7, I think it's pretty stupid to first question the mod's decision and then be angry when he elaborates.

Regardless of the roles of either Edoc or iCon, I don't care. I don't think anyone should be killed because they put the word "edit" in their post, but others may disagree. I won't encourage them to go modkill those folks in their own games because that's up to them, but in here there won't be any modkilling for this incidence.

Actually no, i don't think most ppl pull this kind of bs, from where do you get your stats anyway? first "new" doesn't mean "illiterate", and being mafia a text based game, i am throwing the far fetched assumption that everyone here knows how to read, the rules of the game are clear, they don't say "is strongly advised to not edit but not wholly enforced, so go and do what you feel is right" and yes, the readiness with which most ppl is willing to laugh it off seems at best fishy to me.

Are you in this game?
And I disagree. Not all new players take the effort to read the rules because the rules are practically the same on every mafia forum. I edited once as well because I never ever played a forum where editing was prohibited, and I was assuming the rules were the same anyways. This is the key reason why I'm being lenient about it.

Also I think it is REALLY farfetched to think he was saying "oh my scumbuddies are x y and z" and then edited that out xD

As much as 00coin has been scummy, I'm not sure if these are already enough to warrant his lynch. IMO, it's not something we should do. Besides, aage though his action, pretty much inferred that he's town.

Exactly, you cannot. All is means is that the mod would prefer it if he wasn't modkilled. All that really can be implied is that his life is important for the balance of the game. Honestly the only one who wants balance is the mod, we all want unbalance in out favor, mainly due to some accurate lynches.

Yeah, edoc, I would think as a mod I wouldn't want to modkill anyone unless I had to. If you go to the trouble of creating a role, I wouldn't want to kill them off unless it was absolutely necessary. And that goes for town or anti-town. I don't see how Commander came to the conclusion that 00 is town. For all I know, 00 could be the GF, in which case aage wouldn't want him dead either.

You've got to be kidding me... Seriously? Either you're both unable to read between the lines (which I extremely doubt, especially with edoc) or you're both scum...

The bolded part for me is an indirect way to think that way. Just got a feeling that aage defending a noob townie, who shouldn't be lynched for what he had done and by saying that he shouldn't be lynched, aage is inferring that it's not to our benefit, thus he's not scum. It's extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming to do that to a noob (it's likely he won't come back after such experience)

Aage pretty much directly said that it's extremely bad to lynch a player judging from that and defended him and you're saying that he didn't. Seriously guys...

Commander I don't think that has relevance. What aage was saying was that he wouldn't post "hey I'm scum, and here's my mates" in the first place, even if he was scum, so it was ridiculous to assume that he edited anything actually relevant to the case, and so was unworthy of a modkill. I don't believe the implication was that he was a townie.

No, we are say that the defense in no way proves he is town, which is quite different. The mod isn't town aligned, they tend to root for the underdog, a lone SK or something. Not suggesting that he is a SK, just that because the mod doesn't wish him dead doesn't mean he is town.

If you'll have enough time, read his whole post again and it's exact wording. Unless more concrete information will come out, I will definitely assume him to be town. Not saying that I couldn't be wrong and you couldn't be right, but this along with 00coin being a noob suggests there's no case here and that we would be better off looking somewhere else.
