Agreed. It should be up to CC to set up parameters to disallow this. Such as only allowing people with only so much experience to be able to play each other. Why this happened yet is beyond me....and isn't it rather hypocritical for someone like ijex to be calling for someone to be held accountable for something he is just as guilty of?hmsps wrote:well thats just complete bullshit, if i want to set up games on any map i will thats what i pay my money for
its just plain wrong..ljex wrote:he will be held accountable because he is creating games that are ? magnets, if i remember correctly he has already been warned about this in the pasthmsps wrote:unless he is sending them invites then i cannot see how anyone has any control over who joins their games

Seriously the issue is not you and what games you're creating. Go pull up dukefleeds game list and tell me there isn't something wrong when there are that many question marks in his active games.hmsps wrote:well thats just complete bullshit, if i want to set up games on any map i will thats what i pay my money for
only problem with your logic is the games i am playing are not against the rules, his are. If my games were said to be against the rules i would stop, he has already been warned and hasn't stopped.anonymus wrote:its just plain wrong..ljex wrote:he will be held accountable because he is creating games that are ? magnets, if i remember correctly he has already been warned about this in the pasthmsps wrote:unless he is sending them invites then i cannot see how anyone has any control over who joins their games

I agree, yours are 8 players, team, and difficult maps, all things preventing new players from joining. LJEX also plays with lower recruits, probably so if he loses it doesn't hurt as much and if he wins he wins a bit more, but he's actually helping the lower ranked players. If you play with good players you are going to be a better player.ljex wrote:only problem with your logic is the games i am playing are not against the rules, his are. Then why was Aalameida warned for this exact same thing?hmsps wrote:unless he is sending them invites then i cannot see how anyone has any control over who joins their games
Aalmeida17 has been warned not to create these kind of games (Manual Freestyle with Montreal and Portugal) for the meantime and encouraged to play and/or create games with different settings from those mentioned above.
He has begun making the games with 6 players to prevent his games from having all new recruits.New Recruits must earn a promotion to join Assassin games, Terminator games, team games, large games (6 or more players) and games on complex maps (they will be hidden from Join A Game and Game Finder listings). These restrictions do not apply to private games.

No problem mate, I don't like a witch hunt without giving the guy a chance to defend himself.dukefleed wrote:Wow, I didn't know I was drawing that much attention....
So I'm being accused of "farming" you call it. This is ridiculous... how can I control who join the game I create.
I like to play certain type of game so I create them, isn't is what we are supposed to do?
A few month ago, a guy send me a message to tell me that he would reset my rank and points if I keep creating games with identical parameters. After a few message where I tried to explain that his points were senseless, I agree to modify the game I created once in a while. This solution appear to satisfy him, even if how you set the game has nothing to do with how rookie are the players who join.
Anyway, I agree to play games that I did not like once in a while to show good intention. Now I see that it did't work.
If you want a solution to this farming problem, don't blame the ones that create games, they don't have control on this.
However, why don't you set a new parameter when you create a game. This new parameter would set the maximum number of rookie in this game, with a maximum value of N-1 or N-2. For example, I create a game for 5 where I set this new value to N-2. For the 4 other players, there would be a maximum of 2 rookie players that could get in the game. I could have set the to N-3 to have only one rookie player but N and N-1 are not available.
That's just an idea, I'm sure other solution could be put in place.
Thanks for IcePack that put a link to this forum in one of my game.
All this being said, I play this free game for fun. There is nothing more than that. I set games according to how I want to play them, not according to who will join.
I don't care about the ranks and points, if an admin is seeing this. Please reset my points to 0 and my rank to whatever you want, I don't care. I just like to play risk online... That's all there is to it. Reset my numbers every month and let me play games that I like.
Thank you

DukeFleed

This whole forum is derived from our personal opinions why would they be excluded from having one? If in my opinion something fishy with duke hadn't been going on this thread wouldn't exist.hmsps wrote:mods be constructive dont give your personal opions as really it adds nothing
I find this post comical...hmsps wrote:mods be constructive dont give your personal opions as really it adds nothing

If this is now what he is doing, then we can move forward from this already. Dukefleed, since you now know that new recruits are attracted to your settings, do limit or lessen your 5-player games so they won't join it. Don't risk something like this again.ljex wrote:...Also dukefleed seems to have learned to stop "farming" by making the games 6 players which makes me think he shouldnt get a ban as long as long as he maintains creating 6 player games. Its up to the multi hunters now, but either way you should know that continually creating games that attract ?'s is farming by CC rules...
