I didn't say anything about not being afraid to hit a girl. However...perhaps you missed the whole "You don't hit each other in wrestling" part?

Which really doesn't follow, to be quite honest. If you're thinking about what your hands are doing during a wrestling match, you've already lost the match.

To a degree, yes. "Lose to a girl" and you take a LOT of shit. "Beat a girl" and it's so what. I get that. By the same token, that's not the girl's fault.

You do need to remind me...I had not heard anything about this. I would LOVE to hear the rationale that allowed him to be convicted if it was a legal wrestling move...got a link? (Link provided later in the thread...thanks!)

As I said above...If you're worried about what your hands are doing during a wrestling match, you've already lost.

Oh, so beating a girl in sports is somehow less valuable than beating a boy?
To high school boys? Sure...absolutely. Do you really question that?

Convicted?
If this is true it's nutty.
You got a link?
Anyone know what a "butt drag" is??? Is it common? Is it an illegal move?
The name itself doesn't mean anything to me, but different moves have different names in different regions of the country. I can't picture any move that fits that name, though.
patches70 wrote:The butt drag is when the wrestler grabs a butt cheek, rams a finger or two in the anus for leverage in an effort to flip, change position, whatever.
I can honestly say I have NEVER heard of that move in all my years of participating and following wrestling. That's a new one to me. I am actually quite surprised it's considered a legal move...maybe because it's just too hard for the ref to see exactly where the fingers are?
