I just watched Zeitgeist the Movie. Here in Australia there seems to be a lot of word of mouth regarding the Zeitgeist movies and lots of people like me are watching them for the first time.
For me there was not much regarding the monetary system that I did not already know. E.g. how bank create money out of nothing then hand it out with interest.
The bit I had not come across before was the 9/11 conspiracy stuff. I will never believe that a government would do such a thing to its own people. That part of the movie was absolutely preposterous and lessened the movies credibility.
What I am curious about is what happened to building 7. The footage of it coming down does look like an engineered implosion. Can anyone explain what happened there? Also is it true that there were no jet engines or other major parts of the plane found at the Pentagon or is that just crap
Honestly, who knows? That's the thing with conspiracy theories, there's never really conclusive proof one way or the other, well, at least in the case of 9/11. That was an interesting movie though. They brought up some interesting points about the Fed.
But for the funniest take on the 9/11 conspiracies, I would direct you to http://www.southparkstudios.com, look for the episode entitled "The Mystery of the Urinal Deuce", and you will be thoroughly entertained.

While parts of the film are, she says, "comically" self-defeating, the nature of “twisted evidence” and use of Madrid bomb footage to imply it is of the London bombings (she approvingly cites a student journalist who calls it an "out and out lie") amount to ethical abuse in sourcing (in later versions of the movie, a subtitle is added to this footage identifying it as from the Madrid bombings). She finishes her analysis with the comment:
Thus legitimate questions about what happened on 9/11, and about corruption in religious and financial organizations, are all undermined by the film’s determined effort to maximize an emotional response at the expense of reasoned argument.
This film is full of half-truths, and misinformation. There are many in-depth critiques (with proper references) available online. I recommend looking for one or two.

I have always assumed that the 4th airplane that crashed in PA was supposed to hit WT7. That said, the documentary uses the accuracies involving the monetary system to try to piggy-back some credentials between leaps from 9-11 to Jesus Christ and middle east policy.
Remember, Zeitgeist is what transformed Jared Loughner. The movie tries to put you into a mind-prison. If you escape, you are voting democrat for the next 20 years.
Thanks Firth4ever that may exlain building 7, yes we do not get to see it from any other angle in the movie. As for the rest of the movie I did find it kind of entertaining because conspiracy theories can be fun. It also did provoke me to think about Australia,s monetary system which is basically the same as the USA's.
Now I'm wondering how the system work if there was no interest attached to the money when the Fed gave it to the government. That would stop the problem of inflation but what problems would that cause.
TKR4Lf thanks for the South Park reference I'm just about to watch it.

Thanks TKr4lf. I just watched that South Park Episode. I needed a good laugh today and that certainly did the trick.
Who knows, maybe the Government did start the rumurs about the 9/11 consiracy.
South Park would be nothing without that nasty fat Cartman. You have to love that character.
