Who has the Best Official Residence?

Postby saxitoxin on Sat May 21, 2011 10:09 pm

PART 2 IN A SERIES OF 3 ARCHITECTURAL SHOWDOWNS!

There'll be a first-past-the-post vote in each of six regions with four candidates each.

Then there'll be a first-past-the-post vote in each hemisphere with three candidates each.

Finally, two candidates will go head to head: one from the Eastern and one from the Western Hemisphere! YAY!

The selection of candidates was made only for diversity of architectural style, no other factors were considered, so don't bitch.

WTF - La Fortaleza has been ATTACKED BY PIRATES. TWICE. And yet it's still safe enough to park a late '90's Ford Taurus at.

And it's almost 500 years old. There's only going to be 1 other place in this contest that's older than 500 years. (Unknown if the toilets are 500 years old, too.)

I like the name of the Citadel. And Sussex drive has lots of pretty trees.

La Citadelle is clearly the most defensible during a zombie outbreak. That's gonna win every time.

Chorley Park was apparantly quite beautiful. But they decided it was too expensive to maintain and tore it down...:(

Beautiful places all, but definitely Prauge castle is head-and-shoulders above the rest.
