Well, let's see maybe we could have a topic where people make a stab at interpreting these impenetrable rules at this site. Then there could be a lengthy discussion and perhaps a consensus would be reached.Sammy gags wrote:Obviously I have learned the game of RISK differently than most people. I disagree with with the no secret alliance rule, but it is clearly stated so I follow it. But how can you know what rules you are breaking when the rest of the rules are vague & based on opinion?
Exactly. If you purchase a $250 membership to the gym and then go piss on all the equipment, you will be banned and you wont get a refund.thelewis wrote:if he hadnt of cheated he wouldnt be banned...not quite sure why that is very hard for people to get...

Its the funniest thing that dug has you convinced that he didn't know what he was doing was wrong..Sammy gags wrote:. But how can you know what rules you are breaking when the rest of the rules are vague & based on opinion?
OK, how about this:Sammy gags wrote:If you are bribing somebody, you do not do it so the other person will find out
You bang on about this being a legal issue, and frankly I doubt it. There is clearly a clause in the rules page which I will quote for you to save you the trouble of finding it.what,me worry? wrote:The bottom line is that money was paid for a service to his account. I quoted this purely for the laugh it gave me. This isn't about the legaliity of dumping points, it's about the rules of the site, and just to be clear, it is against the rules of the site.what,me worry? wrote:Im sick of seeing all the friends I have come to know on here leave. Thats my motivation for my posts on this subject. Last time I checked, dumping points isnt illegal( not moral and illegal are two diff. things)
There is. See above.what,me worry? wrote: last time I checked, if a service isnt rendered in full, then the remanding money must be refunded, as there is no clause to support the forfeit of his funds, even if they came from another player!
Actually, that's how it works. You seem to be mistaken as do a few others who posted recently that because they pay this site is somehow theirs. You know what, I bought a load of stuff from play.com and they still didn't let me have any shares, or even give me any admin passwords so I could change all their item descriptions to funny things.what,me worry? wrote: I used to love this site, but when people are kicked off just like that, it makes me wonder who will be next and for what. And finally, my own personal opinion. This used to be the best site on the internet. My own son and some of his schoolmates even joined for a short while, although in the main they play the boardgame much more. The Guidelines wrote:A warning from any mod is the same as a warning from Lackattack himself, asking mommy because daddy said no wont work here. If you chose to disobey a direct request from a mod, expect to be put on a 24 hour freeze from the forum. Further action against the warning will result in longer time-outs, and eventually permanant banning (banding as some would say) from the forum. A mod will always warn you of the consequences if there will be any.

I have no benefit whatsoever by taking his side. Its a matter of principal. He earned his points fair, his account is credited for another year and a half, and people get to talk sh*t all day long about him while he cant defend himself. Great system. Stick that in your hash pipe and smoke it.
The only two Mods that I give credit to are Andy and FP. I used to love this site, but when people are kicked off just like that, it makes me wonder who will be next and for what. There are no boundaries or checks/balances, just the discretion of the mods.......
