OAK @ BUF Oakland DL looked very impressive, probably play ball control with the run game
GB @ CAR
KC @ DET Can't cover Megatron, also can't stop Stafford
CLE @ IND
TB @ MIN
CHI @ NO
JAC @ NYJ
SEA @ PIT
BAL @ TEN
ARI @ WAS Not a particularly impressive run game for WAS, I expect lots of ARI blitzes to mask poor secondary. Kolb to Fitz music to my ears.
DAL @ SF
CIN @ DEN
HOU @ MIA
SD @ NE
PHI @ ATL
STL @ NYG

CLE > IND
TB > MIN
CHI < NO
JAC < NYJ
SEA < PIT
BAL > TEN
ARI < WAS
DAL > SF
CIN < DEN
HOU > MIA

OAK @ BUF - Jamal Charles had a good game against Buffalo, and Run DMC is an animal. Fitzpatrick isn't that good either
GB @ CAR - Duh. Cam Newton hype machine stops after this one
KC @ DET - No Eric Berry = Megatron goes nuts. Also, Nate Burleson caught everything Stafford threw him. Good signs for the pass attack
CLE @ IND - The Colts will continue to struggle w/o Manning, and Peyton Hillis could go off against a mediocre run D
TB @ MIN - Bounceback game for the Bucs, who could have won last week. And... McNabb threw for 39 yards. Things don't look good in 'Sota
CHI @ NO - Tough call, but I give it to the home team. But Chicago might just run the table on the NFC south
JAC @ NYJ - Duh
SEA @ PIT - Duh
BAL @ TEN - Duh
ARI @ WAS - Kolb will have a harder time against this D, and Skins look good, as long as Bad Rex doesn't show up and throw picks and fumble
DAL @ SF - Because I hate Dallas, and Willis will put a hurting on Tony Homo
CIN @ DEN - Been drinking a bit, so I can't remember the exact phrase, but it's the least terrible option
HOU @ MIA - Foster's back, and I think NE just didn't give a shit knowing that TB was having a monster day, Henne ain't that good
SD @ NE - SD defense wasn't as good as it was last year, NE has too many options (including Ocho)
PHI @ ATL - They were down to the Rams, and barring those injuries and the blocked punt, probably should have lost
STL @ NYG - Rams D isn't very good, and it's mostly the Giants D that's hurting. Rams O will miss SJack

Also in regards to the Ari Was game, Tim Hightower guaranteed a win. He has something to prove to the team that dropped him for Beanie Wells.

OvO, you should keep a win percentage or something updated in the first post. It would be cool to see how we rank.

I'll post my pics sometime later

OAK @ BUF - Oakland's front 4 looked amazing last game, Fitz wont have the same time he had vs KC and Oakland's CBs are fast enough to keep up with "Why So Serious"
GB @ CAR - GB fan, but seriously: who's going to be covering the Packers' WRs? Captian Munnerlyn?
KC @ DET - Charles is one RB that can run away from Suh, Dwayne Bowe plays like he actually cares.
CLE @ IND - Indy makes a conscious effort to block for Collins, McCoy cant use his legs vs Freeney/Mathis
TB @ MIN - McNabb just threw for 39 yds... Tampa's D is good enough to contain Peterson
CHI @ NO - Gut call, NO has no pass rush and Cutler can be great when not getting killed
JAC @ NYJ - Sanchez is still better than Luke McCown...
SEA @ PIT - Tarvaris Jackson is playing, the rest of Seattle isnt.
BAL @ TEN - Rice looks unstoppable, CJ2K still needs a week to warmup.
ARI @ WAS - Love Hightower, Fitz and Kolb still working on chemistry.
DAL @ SF - DAL can get beat through the air, but Alex Smith tossing up prayers doesnt beat many people.
CIN @ DEN - CIN already has 1 of its 2 wins this year, wouldnt count on them coming in the first 2 weeks
HOU @ MIA - Another gutcall, Miami's D is better than they showed and Foster still iffy
SD @ NE - High scoring no doubt, Brady finds ways to win
PHI @ ATL - Vick looked eh, Turner beats up the interior defense of Philly
STL @ NYG - Battle of who has more injured players, stars still better on NYG

This Thread is effing great!!!! we need more posts!

I have a pool going every week for $100 with some friends and have to submit my 5 best picks each week along with a tie breaker score for the bills games. If i get all 5 picks right and win the tie breaker I cash in. If no one wins the pot carries over to the next week.

If everyone could number their picks in order of the strongest picks to the weakest that would be fckn awesome!

Thanx ALL!

As much as I'd love to see my Niners get a win vs Dallas, I just don't see it happening. You can't expect two special teams TD's every week to put you over the top. The run game was just not working for Gore last week and Sean Lee was lighting it up for Dallas so I don't expect much.

Also, Alex Smith did enough to not lose the game, but not much to win it. I give him credit for not turning the ball over, but he's going to need to take some shots downfield and get some TD's instead of field goals. You can't check down every other pass play and expect to be able to move the football consistently.

Sometimes you have to put your personal values over fact. Of course we all know Alex Smith isn't very good, but I would go every week saying that the Cowboys will lose, simply because of my personal disdain for them, in conjunction with my Redskins fandom.

Lol, true, but I wouldn't bet money on the Niners. Unless I see a very favorable points spread.

Aside from the fact that the Cowboys had the Jets on the ropes and failed to finish the upset, the positive was starting three rookies (including the center) on the offensive line
and playing well.

whitestazn is a Skins fan? Heh... you have my deepest sympathies.
The last time Washington won a Super Bowl it was a 1 loss season
and that blemish came against Dallas at RFK.
The Cowboys only victory that year.

So thats it? Lol, just help on one game? :o lol come on everyone help me out here!! ;)

oh and for the record I hate Dallas :-$ (being a local bills fan& all) ...(um have sympathy lol)

However the input on the SF vs Dallas was helpful safariguy, and I agree with your summation, plus the fact I just read Dez Brant has some sort of foot injury that lingered into the season and hurt so bad in the jets game he had to take himself out of the game & that he'll deal with it every game now and take himself out as needed... wtf is that? lol he doesn't sound too confident.

Anyway I still need help with my Top 5 Picks if anyone has anymore input?

Dez Bryant has a contusion in his thigh and should have taken himself out
of the Jets game late in the 4th Quarter, as he was a liability on the field.
Cowboys will get past the Niners tomorrow without him.

I don't understand what you're looking for with the Top Five Picks MG...
Do you have the choice of selecting any games on the schedule
and is the point spread included in these picks?

My deepest condolences on your Bills, twenty years ago they were rockin' the NFL.

Even though Brady tossed 400+ and a couple TDs, the Chargers turned over another game to the Pats Sunday. New England won by 14, but San Diego turned the ball over 3 times inside the Pats 35 and also failed to score on a 4th & Goal from the 1 yd. line.

Last night it appeared the Giants used faux injuries to slow down the Rams up tempo offense when St.Louis was rolling early in the game. I'm thinking this should lead to some rule changes, like use a time out or make the "injured" player sit out several downs and not just one as it is now.

Week 3

NE @ BUF might just be a shootout... and I really really really want to see the Bills take this one
JAX @ CAR Cam Newton get's his first NFL win
SF @ CIN
MIA @ CLE if Colt McCoy gets a little run support the Dolphins exit Ohio 0-3
DET @ MIN I can't imagine the Vikes starting out 0-3, but picked the Lions anyways
HOU @ NO Drew Brees has no INTs and I'm wondering if the Texan D is up to the challenge?
NYG @ PHI No Michael Vick this week
DEN @ TEN
NYJ @ OAK I believe the Raiders are capable of winning this one, but expect the Jets D to prevail
KC @ SD
BAL @ STL
GB @ CHI
ARI @ SEA
ATL @ TB
PIT @ IND
WAS @ DAL This NFC rivalry is always a toss-up. Go Cowboys!

JAX @ CAR Newton over Gabbert
SF @ CIN Gore needs to show up big, not a premier run defense this week
MIA @ CLE

DEN @ TEN
NYJ @ OAK
KC @ SD
BAL @ STL
GB @ CHI
ARI @ SEA
ATL @ TB
PIT @ IND
WAS @ DAL If Dallas defense at full strength, could be difficult to throw on them

wow.... really? At your best (with everyone playing 100%) I would probably call it 31-28 Redskins (obviously biased, as most people would probably have it at like 35-24 Cowboys).

With the way you're banged up now, not knowing who will be playing and who will be playing well, I'd say 28-24 Redskins.

I'm being optimistic, figuring the Skins don't know who
to prep for on the field Monday night and expect the defense
to toss in a few points as well.
