AMC has been on fire with Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead. I expect only greatness out of Hell on Wheels.

And it's not quite a series, but over the past few weeks ESPN has been coming out with these "flims" about certain sports stories. The first one was great about Steve Bartman and Buckner...there's one on now (almost over though) about Chris Herren. Great films.

Yea, it sucks that they aren't auto updating when the new episodes come out like they did for the prequel of Spartacus.

Also, new second season of Spartacus comes out in January. Too far away =(

It'd be pretty easy to find new episodes somewhere on the internet.

In related news, I've started watching Doctor Who. 224 episodes in all, and quite a few of them come in several parts, so I'm set for a while.

There are only 3 t.v. series with some sort of 'long term story' that I have at some point actively followed:

LOST, Breaking Bad, The Office.

But there are other shows like that are more episodic stand-alone like: Seinfeld, Futurama, etc.

Cartoons like Futurama, South Park, Family Guy, etc. all need to have every episode end the same way it started so that the episodes are essentially interchangeable. I hate in Family Guy how lately they've just been doing a lot of shit like make Cleavland move (obviously so he got his own shitty series), killed off Mort's wife, killed off Diane Simmons, etc. South Park is generally good with this though they have killed off past characters (the Chef one was kind of important though because Isaac Hayes left the show and they wouldn't dare replace him) like the bus driver with the bird in her hair (forgot her name). I'm generally fine with it though.

Family Guy has also been getting ridiculously preachy lately and it's really annoying.

I do. They still have a funny joke or two every episode (I missed all of season 9 so I just watched that and then the first three episodes of season 10, the current one). McFarlane is really becoming a shit writer, which is sad. South Park is nearing its end pretty much, so the only adult cartoons we have to look forward to are really just Futurama and Archer.

EDIT: DANGAAAAA ZONEEEEEEEE

I don't know if Family Guy sucked after it's return from cancellation, or if my tastes just changed while it was off air.

Regardless, I can't watch it any more. It's absolutely terrible.

More like taste which lovers of family Guy seem to lack.

I bet you predicted Family Guy would be cancelled after one season.

And then when someone called you out on it you didn't respond back because you were a bitch.

Family Guy really overuses it's jokes now.

I swear if they do one more version of Peter falling and clutching his knee, I'm going switch the channel.

Also, for some reason, they drag out their cutaways for waaay too long now. Case in point: the Conway Twiddy cutaways (whoever he is). The first few times they cut to him, it was like less than 10 seconds. Now it goes on and on and on... If I really wanted to watch Conway do his country singer thing, I'd use youtube, not watch Family Guy.

Have never been a fan of Family Guy. Futurama was a much smarter show and funnier. They brought the wrong show back to Fox.
