Also also, in 3 starts last year Tebow was only sacked 6 times. I don't think Tebow is the biggest problem with Tebow, it's the shit play calling.

Re: NFL Picks: Week 9

A lot of close games so far and most point margins of the teams with poor records so far are not much. Will this be another week dominated by home field bliss?

Week 9

NYJ @ BUF...Bills send Jets home with a Dirty Sanchez
SEA @ DAL...Cowboys' D should be awake this week
CLE @ HOU...welcome back to Texas Mr.McCoy, now have a seat
ATL @ IND...little to ponder when the Falcons fly thru town
MIA @ KC...Chiefs are on a roll & the fish only play half games
TB @ NO...time for a Saints rebound
SF @ WAS...I expect the Skins to score this week
DEN @ OAK...best QB to show up should prevail
CIN @ TEN...giving the Bengals' D the benefit of my doubts here
STL @ ARI...can Jackson feely his way to a Ram's win streak?
NYG @ NE...the NFC East needs a pat on the back to catch up to the G-Men
GB @ SD...only a shootout will spare the Chargers at home
BAL @ PIT...no deja vu for the Ravens
CHI @ PHI...I'll be pulling for the Bears

TB @ NO
SF @ WAS

It's something he does because the Cowboys need all the help they can get.

If I were to start watching NFL (since I am getting a cable box with a HDD so i can record stuff ez) who are some good teams to watch? Like not only top teams, but teams who play good/interesting football (for a layman to watch)?

It depends on what you like. If you like a lot of offense passing offense, go with the New England Patriots or Green Bay Packers. If you like to watch good running offenses, you can watch the Oakland Raiders and Darren McFadden destroy my Denver Broncos or Matt Forte and the Chicago Bears. If you like defense, your best teams would be the Baltimore Ravens or the Pittsburgh Steelers.

If there's a "must see" game this weekend, it's the Pittsburgh/Baltimore game. They're huge rivals and there is going to be a lot of hard-hitting.

Also, it's called the internet: www.atdhenet.tv

Week 9

NYJ @ BUF
SEA @ DAL
CLE @ HOU
ATL @ IND
MIA @ KC
TB @ NO Upset pick. Both teams are looking to bounce back, but the Bucs are rested.
SF @ WAS oVo, you have too much faith in John Beck
DEN @ OAK
CIN @ TEN
STL @ ARI Rams have a good chance to match last season's record. Won't be enough to win it this year, though.
NYG @ NE Brady Bunch bounces back against a team that almost beat itself against Miami.
GB @ SD Philip Romo can't hold a candle to Aaron Rodgers
BAL @ PIT
CHI @ PHI

Too much faith in Beck? I picked the Skins to score this week, not win.
After watching Beck get sacked 9 times last week in Buffalo
maybe Grossman's ready for another shot.

Couple Beck with a non-existent run game and a Niners defense with a league-low 15.3 points per game allowed, I think you're being generous.

That overrated Flacco dude completed his 9th final minute comeback win.
The Broncos finally have something to feel positive about... as a team
and the Dolphins provide this week's shocker with their first win.

The AFC West is wide open. Even Denver is back in the picture.

The Steelers looked completely apathetic on that final drive and the last two offensive plays of the game, the Ravens definitely wanted it more at the end.

Also, Tebow played well. Definitely an upgrade from Ort-dog.

A few of the mid-pack teams stumbled, a while a few kept it going. Overall, pretty entertaining games.

You obviously didn't watch the NO v. TB game. Man, Tampa Bay is my favourite team, but what the heck was up with them on Sunday? Josh Freeman only aired it out for a long throw once or twice, and neither were caught! He was repetitively saved by penalties. And in the last minute and a half, they just gave up! He didn't throw anything out of bounds and he didn't try for an eighty-yarder. Instead, they just waddled along the field. I almost fell asleep... Truly disappointing performance.

So, I don't know if we're keeping points, but I'm going to tally mine up.

NYJ @ BUF - NYJ W
SEA @ DAL - DAL W (1)
CLE @ HOU - HOU W (2)
ATL @ IND - ATL W (3)
MIA @ KC - MIA W (4)
TB @ NO - NO W (4)
SF @ WAS - SF W (5)
DEN @ OAK - DEN W (6)
CIN @ TEN - CIN W (6)
STL @ ARI - ARI W (7)
NYG @ NE - NE W (7)
GB @ SD - GB W (8)
BAL @ PIT - BAL W (9)
CHI @ PH

Not bad, for my first week in. :D

9-4 is a decent Sunday... and maybe another tonight.

Oakland hit a season high for penalty yards,
seems Palmer is starting to fit.

Week 9

NYJ @ BUF...Jets essentially win first playoff game to climb back in the division race
SEA @ DAL...Cowboys' bust loose in the 2nd half
CLE @ HOU...welcome back to Texas Mr.McCoy, now have a seat
ATL @ IND...little to ponder when the Falcons fly thru town, Colts D is a no show
MIA @ KC...the Fish dominate score board for their first win. =D>
TB @ NO...Saints rebound from Rams' thumping last week
SF @ WAS...Skins actually to score this week
DEN @ OAK...first win over the Raiders in a long time
CIN @ TEN...Bengals 4th quarter comback
STL @ ARI...Rams blow it and Cards take OT win
NYG @ NE...Brady makes final drive for the lead, but Eli matches it for final seconds win.
GB @ SD...Chargers rally, but too little too late.
BAL @ PIT...Flacco drives Ravens 92 yards for final seconds win
CHI @ PHI...I'll be pulling for the Bears

7-7 . . . 81 - 49

Hah! That's peculiar - I stated that NE won but didn't modify my score. Clerical error! :P

Yay, I'm ahead of you, oVo, this week. ;) Irishman, how'd you fair?

Fox still doesn't trust Tebow. This is gonna be interesting as we get deeper into the season if we're still in the hunt for the AFC West title.

My worst week so far, while Crazy Irish has been rocking the picks.
Don't mind the losses, just wish the G-Men had come up short
to tighten up the NFC East. The Giants have a tough schedule
coming up... so this should get good.

Week 9 results

NYJ @ BUF
SEA @ DAL
CLE @ HOU
ATL @ IND
MIA @ KC
TB @ NO Dammit.
SF @ WAS So the Skins scored points. Mea culpa.
DEN @ OAK TEBOW. Y U ACTUALLY DO DECENT?
CIN @ TEN
STL @ ARI Cards set up SF to potentially wrap up the division before St. Louis even plays the Niners. The NFC West really is that bad.
NYG @ NE With the Jets on deck, New England needs to right ship quickly
GB @ SD Like I said: Philip Romo.
BAL @ PIT Excuse me while I go vomit.
CHI @ PHI Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over...

6-8 (80-49)
