Since I am sure Cheme was not the only mod in the decision to strip the medals I am thinking you might want to give them some time to get together and put together a reply. Continuing this mod flame thread is not going to help your cause-and is, in fact, proving their point for them.

I have a question,in the actual war thread how many times was the warning to stop made,Ollie says once,And at the warning the Pack stopped. If so then a warning that states if you dont stop there will be consequences,is that.If you continue then you are in violation. If you stop then that should be the end of it no consequences.Without the exact number of times the warning was given in that thread, and specifically how the warning was worded.then its hard to make a judgement. what was said outside the thread in PM's is something else entirely. The war thread is the focus. The PM's can be taken up on a more personal note between the parties involved. So showing the warning is beneficial in this thread. And showing more abuse after the warning is also beneficial. That would be the best way to get support for either side in this case.

Still no response, must be putting their heads together to try and be real political with an answear, or perhaps there is no answears that justify what has been done.

On another note: I don't really care who leads what clan, but i can guarantee that leaders don't monitor what their members are saying in their posts...they can't. Are they going to proofread while the members are typing them and let them know if its ok to post that......NO fricking way.

Holding a leader responsible for a members post isn't even logical, its not up to the leader....its up to the Mod to let individuals know what inappropriate posts are.
And by the way we still need more clarification on that also.

Also very interested in what "punishment" is handed out to non-pack members who were involved in war thread, who were they, what is being done, and how they broke rules.

Anyway I am going to cut myself off there.....here is a smile to show its all in fun :D

Peace
J.C.

We tried to do this privately, no response. What else can we do megaswoman? Grin and take it when it is a clear cut case of mod abuse? Would you do that if a mod was attacking jefjef, stripping his medal, for no good reason? Would you sit idol and not take action? I am speaking for all myself and my opinions may not be correct. I will defend my clan mates no matter what even if it means that i take the brunt of the discipline. Please tell me you would do the same for KOA members? We have received no evidence because there is none. grifftron and tec805 for sure have had major mod abuse taken against them. Myself and John Deere warranted none of this action. We heeded our warning and followed the mods wishes. Please read all evidence then decide which side of the fence you are on. Please tell me you would go to bat for Icepack if a situation ever arose with him. Thanks

You stated your case in this thread. You have others supporting you. I went back and looked myself (thank you for that headache by the way) and no, I'm not seeing much after the warnings on page 37 but I'm not sure what was going on behind the scenes either. You don't need to be a martyr in this case-just the Leader and hold back your gang for maybe 24-48 hours to get a response from the mods. Yes, I would and do defend my clanmates. Would I have allowed 80% of the ... uhhh...we'll say postings in that IA thread? No. All this thread is turning into is a mod bashing fest and it's going to get locked and ignored if it keeps going the way it is. Just my opinion...:-) good luck!

I disagree. I think if you win this war players and other clans will be so impressed by the "tactic" and the victory that this will just fade away. Now, if you lose this war I doubt you will ever get a voluntary war from a higher ranked clan again! So there is your double edged sword.

Win or lose Chem; it's irrelevant. Sadly, no top ranked clan will interested.

Of course no one will be interested in getting their asses kicked, all scared shi*less... pretty normal for a bunch of net pussysssssss[/quote]

besides that.. warning was given on page 36... after that warning I barley posted, and what i did post was nothing negative at all.... does the 2 above posts warrent the mods to strip me of a medal I worked hard for? If so fine..

You called a mod a "dickhead" and called members of other clans "pussys," and you don't find that to be "disruptive or inappropriate?"

So what did the other people in the war thread get for discipline? After the warning we did nothing period. Thirdly do i really need to go through the last Thota BPB thread and show you what inappropriate is? They all got their medals? So why us, still no evidence? Come on quit beating around the bush.

P.S. So a mod saying in a public thread which was ours, that he hated our clan is appropriate? Then the same mod decides we are the poster clan for his wraith of his discipline? Is this appropriate?

I said OK if this is why, then OK... but much more worse has been said and will be said and others have been awarded medals across the clan world... at least draw a line so people know where we can step and where we cannot...

If you think the rules are applied inconsistently, perhaps you are right. That doesn't justify what you did, though it would perhaps explain why you are confused about this ruling.

P.S. So a mod saying in a public thread which was ours, that he hated our clan is appropriate? Then the same mod decides we are the poster clan for his wraith of his discipline? Is this appropriate?

I don't know the context, it looked like a joke when I read it. Again, this is about whether you violated the behavior rule, not about what anybody else does.

Myself, i did nothing. I am getting disciplined for being a leader, that is all. No where in any written rules does it say leaders are held accountable. Yet i get a medal stripped, no warning, nothing.Fair isn't it!

Sorry, when I said "you" I meant the collective you, as in the people who were responsible for the inappropriate comments. I don't see the purpose in holding a clan leader responsible for the comments of the clan mates because they are not your children, just people you play with. They are adults who should be held responsible for their actions. That being said, if the general climate of the clan is one where such comments are encouraged or condoned, the leader should do something about it.

GO never encouraged us to say naughty words like pussy or dickhead... we dont skype about what we are gonna post, we are all adults and i guess don't all act like them on the intronet... but its only the pack that doesn't act like adults..

GO and JD actually told us both in the war thread and in our clan forum to stop posting negitive stuff after the warning was sent to him via PM and posted in the clan thread pg 36

Why do you keep turning it into a thota-bpb thing? Obviously that was before the privileges guidelines were introduced (and possibly why they were?). This is obviously the first case of the War thread behaviour ruling being implemented?

Also, I must agree with some of the others that the mention about the appropriate section on page 21 of IA-Pack is enough of a warning? Not the later more explicit warning on p36? (It's interesting how many pages these saga's devolved into)

I think the headache caused to the CD's could also be on all the reported posts in the thread, and on which some of the rulings were made? And I also think the decision to revoke the clan medals seems correct as well considering the importance Pack members put on them? Stick it where it hurts huh? ;)

Also, this whole chasing cheme blaming him for mod abuse seems extremely excessive as well. It's been said it was a collective decision, and I still don't see much of the Pack-hate from him that you attribute...

Postby chemefreak on Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:58 pm

There is no detailed ruling coming. I had a bunch of late meetings and I have a meeting at 7:00 am tomorrow with a doctor client of mine. So I haven't been around to look at this thread until now and I am going to bed right after I type this.

There is no requirement that we warn first. When I posted in the thread, we were trying to remind everyone of the rule they agreed to abide by when they received privileges for their clan war. However, the line had already been crossed by several players. So this "we stopped flaming, baiting, trolling, posting inappropriate material, mocking moderators, etc. after the warning" defense is pretty pointless.

Also, since we have never used the policy before it is lacking a bit in definition. We put it in place originally to combat extreme cases of abuse. We figured we would know it when we saw it, and sure enough we did. Simply:

You cannot post nasty pictures of another player petting a whale's dick.
You cannot call a moderator a dickhead.
You cannot tell a moderator to f*ck off.
You cannot troll other threads just for the purpose of annoying others.
You cannot, when asked to calm your clan down a bit, send nasty private messages to a moderator.
You cannot ignore a moderator's request to help with your clan when you hold the privileges.

There were so many reported posts in the thread and private messages sent to the Clan Directors complaining of content posted by the Pack that it was hard to ignore what was going on in the thread. Again, privileges and medals are privileges, not rights. Most other clans seem to know how to compete with respect in a clan war.

Again, it is unfortunate that it had to come to this. However, every time we tried to give all of you another chance you threw it back in our faces. Posted private messages in public, sent nasty private messages, mocked us in the thread, harassed players and other clans, and just generally ignored our requests. This will not be tolerated.

Of course, if you don't like the way we are "dictating" the clan area, feel free to run your wars with private games and no medals. If you want the privilege of privileges and medals, then you need to stop acting like children.

Another mod being a mod. Admit your mistakes, admit lack of communication, admit your a 19 year old kid in a position of power. Admit something other then the same old run around. Where, i repeat where in the written rules is it stated clan leaders are held accountable for the members posts? MOD ABUSE, this is all it is, and of coarse you guys will lock this thread. It will happen because we as a community of paying customers are right. We want evidence, we want proper rulings according to your very vague rules, we want mod abuse to stop. How do i become a mod, i want to clean up this corrupt system. I could be like the internal mod police lol.

You fast-posted me. Everything you wrote is damn accurate. Due, in part, to several dicey clan wars, the new privileges and medal system was put in place. This is the first war we have ever used this punishment in. Also, we do not lock threads anymore (maybe for a minute here and there to catch up!) since we found that it just causes side threads that we have to monitor.

You are right about the reported posts, etc. And thanks for noticing that this wasn't just my decision. We Clan Directors are "Hive-minded" ;)

Cheers.

And their is his brilliant post. The topic on hand is our war thread. What about the pm's to me? Were they appropriate? They are gone now and i cannot prove it. I never had one inappropriate post in the war thread. Look it over. So mods just decide what action to take with no set rules in place? Brilliant, fair all the way bravo! Who has been guesting in our private clan forum chemefreak? Who as obviously hidden his abuse well? I cannot prove anything because your a mod and simply remove all evidence. You do what you want, vague rules and all. The children here are you. WE OBEYED THE CEASE ORDER GIVEN BY YOU. EVERYONE HAS BEEN GREAT FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS OF THE WAR. WHY DID YOU CAUSE THIS SHITSTORM? ADMIT IT CHEMEFREAK, ADMIT IT. To destroy us, plain and simple. Where is the pm that said you were going to use our clan as a poster child for your rules. WHAT rules? Detailed my butt, your going to make up, post every pm i ever sent you, and not include what you sent me back. Real fair there moderators. Understand one thing, i will never go away until you admit fault, period!

Correction... this is not a "mod flame" ... this thread was just an attempt to receive opinions on this subject... all opinions are welcome (especially since this is an open forum) and therefore your "flaming" accusation is unsubstantiated and uncalled for....

Also... you too may want to read the "forum guidelines" because you may be in violation with that statement.. ;)
