It's probably not multis. It's farming. He found a bunch of settings that attract a lot of new players that probably won't come back, which is why he keeps making these games.
Also, you won't get your points back.

Okay, I knew it was a long shot about getting my points back, but how can you not think that a game he creates that is joined by four other brand new players, all signing up to CC within an hour or so of each other, and all four of which never take a single turn, is anything BUT a multi? I occasionally run into a new player who deadbeats, but FOUR new players in the same game? C'mon, this has to be cheating!

It is cheating. It's called farming because he is most likely not making the accounts. These are the games that come up when a new player would hit "Join a Game." And since there are a lot of new players, the likelihood that 4 new players that signed up within minutes of each other, hitting join a game within a few minutes of each other would be in the same games is quite high.

I say BS! I only do a freestyle game for 4-6 players in World 2.1. Sometimes everyone is a new player that just joined and never plays and I have hundreds of these games to show the proof. I personally think what is happening is one of two things it is either someone who has created a computer program to make and play fake accounts or CC it's self that made the script to drive up it's membership numbers. Personally I think the latter since I once thought of making an offer on the web site. It's numbers were/are low. The math never added up to the million dollar asking price.
Either way, it stinks, and it isn't fair. It'll make me think twice about joining any game unless I'm filling the last slot available. And if CC is behind it, as you suggest, its numbers will fall even further when players like myself get fed up and leave CC for one of their competitors. I won't play with cheaters, whether it's another player or the web site itself.
And mviola, I don't get your reasoning. If ETS45 DID create a game that was actually joined by four authentic newbies, how is that cheating, in that case? He has no control over who joins his games, unless he invites all new players. And even if he does, what are the odds that all the new players he invites never take a single turn? Who joins a web site to play games, joins a game, and then never plays? I don't believe so many people would actually do this.
He isnt making the accounts. did you notice that they are from all around the world? In the game Tom913 thought was the most suspicious, 9612369, 2 are from the US, 1 from France and 1 from Egypt.
He just found a map and settings that newbies would want to play. You shold change your inquiry to farming instead of multis and he might be busted.
I have a personal history of creating a number of games, and end up getting several newbies joining say... more than half of them, but only on certain maps. many of them deadbeat or take a turn or two and then drop.
ets has played road maps for ages. what you seem to forget is players get feed up of certain maps. when this happens all you get is ? players. then in 1 or 2 months you get normal ranked players joining again.
