^^^Not actually true. I, at least, dislike him because he's insanely overrated and fellated by any broadcaster despite not being an effective passer or an especially good quarterback. I feel like both Ponder and Newton have a more intuitive grasp of the position as it's played in the NFL, and he's got a year on them.oVo wrote:People hate on Tim Tebow for one simple reason,

Given time and a healthy career he'll get it done.

Right now, though, that's pretty much what they're getting, and as long as the Broncos keep winning, the circus is only going to get bigger.oVo wrote: Fans of the game everywhere seem to expect miracles every time he runs on the field and that's far from realistic.

I agree that we should wait, but it's tough to judge a guy in a stretch like that in only his second season. It'll surely show his true colors this season, but to say that's the Tebow we'll have for the rest of his career is a bit of an extrapolation.pancakemix wrote:Right now, though, that's pretty much what they're getting, and as long as the Broncos keep winning, the circus is only going to get bigger.oVo wrote: Fans of the game everywhere seem to expect miracles every time he runs on the field and that's far from realistic.
I want to see Tebow play some more upper-tier teams. We saw what happened vs. Detroit, but the offense has really shifted since then. There's a three-game stretch starting in Week 14 of some really tough games: vs. CHI, vs. NE, and @BUF. Once those games wrap up, we'll know who the real Tim Tebow is.

I agree. Tebow just won't survive in the NFL with a run-option for long so he's going to have to get a bit more accurate. But knowing the kind of player Tebow is, he will work his fucking ass off to do that this off-season.safariguy5 wrote:I'm concerned if he can't get that accuracy better. For all the Mike Vick has done with his legs, he's still an incredibly volatile QB. He's going to win you some games, but also lose you some. I could easily envision Tebow morphing into that type of QB, but without all the talent that Vick has around him. And that's assuming Tebow get's his accuracy up.
The Eagles are 3-6.safariguy5 wrote:...all the talent that Vick has around him.
I'm not sure how much of that is on Vick and how much is on the rest of his guys, but you have a top tier RB in McCoy, 2 great receivers (when healthy and focused) in Maclin and Jackson, an above average TE in Celek, and a good defense which should be able to force some turnovers and give you field position/extra possessions.oVo wrote:The Eagles are 3-6.safariguy5 wrote:...all the talent that Vick has around him.
