Broken collar bone ends his season... now teams need good back ups for their back ups
and you have to wonder who's available.

Wonder what kind of shape Kurt Warner is in these days?

Who is still available? Chris Simms? Charlie Frye? Patrick Ramsey? Troy Smith? Jake Delhomme? Trent Edwards? David Garrard?

I've no idea what back-ups are still out there and unsigned.

Yeah, more or less, although Garrard had surgery so he probably is unavailable. All of a sudden, that Carson Palmer trade doesn't look so bad.

Like I said, if Pittsburgh beats Cincy next week and the Broncos beat the Vikings, Denver has a playoff spot (provided they can hang onto it).

Better break out your Terrible Towel.
This is assuming the Raiders win the division then?
Yes, but that's not out of the question for the Broncos either. The Raiders still have the Packers and the Lions to go through. IMO, Oakland's the best bet to beat the Pack, but it's still a daunting task. The Lions matchup also depends on what happens with Suh. After that it's easy pickings for the Raiders.

It's actually really unfortunate for the Texans. They're the ONE TEAM other than the Broncos that I want to see in the Super Bowl, but it seems like the football gods really don't want them to be well.

Go Yates!

Wow, so after learning this next week's MNF game, I have to say, this might be the worst year for MNF games in my lifetime. At least the last two, Pit vs. SF and Atl vs. NO are worth watching, but seriously. The schedule makers need to step it up next year. Why Jacksonville has two MNF games gainst non-division opponents is beyond me.

Reports that Jake Delhomme has been signed to the Texans as a back-up to TJ Yates. So we'll see how long TJ Yates lasts, since Delhomme will have to spend some time learning the system.

It'll be great for Yates to have Delhomme there to help him. Delhomme isn't the greatest quarterback ever, but he did manage to reach the Super Bowl.

Of the available quarterbacks out there still, he is probably indeed the best choice.

I just wish all of these teams with QB trouble had them EARLIER in the season so we could've traded Orton for a draft pick instead of just letting him go.

There were some reports that the league might be open to extending the trade deadline to later in the season in the future. Goodell has said that he likes free agency and trading, as it adds a lot of hype and enthusiasm to mid-season stuff.

I used to watch AtH right before PTI all the time too, but since they pretty much do the same stories, I watch Sportsnation on ESPN too for a half an hour before PTI. Cowherd and Michelle Beadle are entertaining and their guests are great, especially when they have Herm Edwards on.

Week 13
PHI @ SEA
NYJ @ WAS Jets have too much to play for to lose
KC @ CHI Does Orton start against his old team?
TEN @ BUF Titans keep it alive if Buffalo
OAK @ MIA The Raiders have home field advantage in Miami
CIN @ PIT Dalton gets a taste of Heinz Field
ATL @ HOU Atlanta is the league's 2nd ranked run defense
DEN @ MIN Chalk up another for Team Tebow
CAR @ TB The Bucs NEED a wake up call. If this won't do it, I dunno what will.
IND @ NE lolts
BAL @ CLE admiralackbar.jpg?
GB @ NYG Could the Giants ruin another perfect season?
DAL @ ARI Interested to see if Beanie Wells can repeat his performance in STL last week
STL @ SF Gold rush for the Niners, who stake their claim to a playoff spot
DET @ NO I got the flex game right. So Suh me.
SD @ JAC Wayne Weaver's torched the crops on his way out, now for SD to torch the Jags.

Also, I love how people trivialize Tebow's wins. "They played poor competition"...the only BAD teams they played were the Chiefs and Dolphins. Beating Oakland AT Oakland isn't a walk in the park, San Diego AT a veteran San Diego isn't an easy win and beating the team that went to the AFC Championship game two years in a row isn't really a walk-over either.

The Bears and Pats games are going to be fun, because they'll be the toughest games for us.

Beting San Diego would've been more impressive if it hadn't been this year. I think the jury is still out on who the Jets are this year, too. Oakland is by far the most impressive win.
