I don't know, I think it's fair.Crazyirishman wrote:Also the patriots are favored by a TD on the road when brady has had a history off not winning against Denver. I'm not saying they shouldnt be favored, but not by that much, especially after the last two week vs indy and washingotn.
Keep in mind that they were missing Von Miller in the Minnesota game, though. Not having your star pass rusher will skew the numbers.Army of GOD wrote:I don't know, I think it's fair.Crazyirishman wrote:Also the patriots are favored by a TD on the road when brady has had a history off not winning against Denver. Our defense has been somewhat inconsistent this year. We gave up 32 to the Vikes (with Christian effing Ponder passing; we couldn't tackle Percy Harvin for our lives) and about 700 to both the Lions and Packers. In our winning streak, the only high-powered offense we faced was San Diego. And I'm not convinced Tebow will be able to keep up with Brady in a shoot-out.

True, but the Vikings were without the best running back in the league.pancakemix wrote:Keep in mind that they were missing Von Miller in the Minnesota game, though. Probably Tebowing when Barber gave them the game back.Army of GOD wrote:Has anyone seen NFL Turning Point on Vs./NBC Sports?
It's pretty awesome. They just did a thing on the Broncos/Bears game and it was great to see what Tebow and everyone else was saying during the game.

haha, no, he only did that after the game. It was funny to see everyone wait for him to be done Tebowing before they started hugging him.safariguy5 wrote:Probably Tebowing when Barber gave them the game back.Army of GOD wrote:Has anyone seen NFL Turning Point on Vs./NBC Sports?

The over the top Christianity may be aggravating to some people (especially non-Christians) but I agree, he's a stand-up guy.Army of GOD wrote:haha, no, he only did that after the game. After Thomas dropped that one pass, he was pretty much on the verge of crying on the sideline and Tebow was like "don't worry, you'll catch the winning touchdown" or some shit. It was pretty cool.
I understand if you hate how he plays, but I can't understand how someone can hate his character. He's one of the most humble guys in the league.

Yea, I've been wondering about this. I'm a Broncos fan, so obviously I'd love him even if he killed children and harvested their organs to feed his race of mutant mice, but I wonder how atheist non-Bronco fans view him.safariguy5 wrote: The over the top Christianity may be aggravating to some people (especially non-Christians) but I agree, he's a stand-up guy.
I hate that too. Just recently I started going onto the Broncos fan forum and it's absolutely ridiculous what people are saying. In a thread about the Lloyd trade, everyone is like "we're 7-1 since so we're all good". What the f*ck are you talking about we're all good? We BARELY won most of them. What I really dislike is how some people are viewing him as the next great quarterback. Some of it is luck, and some of it is skill, but I'd say the change in offensive game plan and a very stout defense contributes more to the wins than Tebow's play. If he was in a regular offense instead of a read-option, then I think he'd be more hard pressed to get all the wins.
Well people will say that the Bears went into a "prevent" at the end of the game (though it was a deep Tampa 2, not a prevent) but even then, he still drove down the field in OT and put us into FG range. I think Tebow's biggest problem is confidence in the pocket. Against the Vikes, he pretty much looked sure in the pocket all game...his footwork was spectacular. In the first 3 quarters of the game, he looked like the Tebow Miami faced...very "Blaine Gabbert"ish. He was falling back in the pocket and throwing away like it was in-style.Also, part of his ability is novelty. When the Dolphins debuted the Wildcat, they won some games due to the fact that nobody had gameplanned for that. After a year or two, everyone adjusted and that's more or less a gimmick play now. Give the defensive coordinators a year to review the tape on Tebow, and I'm sure they're going to be able to exploit his flaws as a QB.
The vast majority of NFL games this year have been really closeArmy of GOD wrote:We BARELY won most of them.

Heart breaking. We didn't get single interception, which was the difference.Army of GOD wrote:Wow.
Orton starts his first game, beats the best team in the NFL.
I don't even

It was depressing. I was forced to watch the Giants/Washington game, but from what I watched in the GB/KC game, GB just got straight up beat. I looked at the games stats before the Packers' last drive and saw Rodgers was around a 40% completion percentage.maasman wrote:Heart breaking.
