I cant actually believe I was somewhat correct on most of these hopes.

Tebow 316

That's right folks! Tebow threw for 316 yards against Pitt. Coincidence? Or not? ;)

I refuse to pick against my Niners. Hopefully they can keep it a low scoring game. Niners to advance, all other picks look good to me.

They better start watering the field today in San Francisco
to slow down the Saints next weekend.

I want a nice mix of upsets and not upsets:

Denver over New England, since I think I like the Tebows more than the Patriots.
San Francisco over New Orleans, since I'd like to see the sometimes inconsistent QB take out the veteran.
Houston over Balitmore, since I'd like to see them get another game in the playoffs.
Green Bay over New York, since I can rub it in face of my friends in NY.

I expect the Patriots to win today, but will be pulling
for a Broncos upset and the Saints in San Francisco.

The Giants have as good a shot at upsetting the Packers
as any team in the NFC tomorrow and I'll be pulling for the
Texans to squeak past the Ravens.

DEN @ NE ...beat the Brady Bunch at home? Broncos couldn't stop him at Mile High
NO @ SF ...Niners D is key, the Brees/Sproles combo has been hard to slow down

NYG @ GB ...Giants are ready for all comers, but the Pack's passing game has been awesome
HOU @ BAL ...A lot of defense, if the Texans' ground game clicks the Ravens should go down

Man the Pats looked on fire last night.

Pick for the SB: Pats over the Pack.

Excellent game at Candlestick yesterday and if the Giants upset the Pack
the Niners will host the NFC Championship.

Great game in Baltimore today as the Texans spot the Ravens turnover points,
but are hanging tough with Foster running the ball.

The Pats dominance of the Broncos was no surprise, but like the Carolina Panthers
Denver should feel good that they've got a good QB on the roster.

None of those results were shocking, but number of turnovers
in three of those games was a surprise.

Hard to believe the Saints were even close at the end of the game after turning the ball over five times and the four lead changes in the final four minutes was a wild finish. San Francisco now has a third version of The Catch to celebrate.

What do you mean None of those results were shocking?! Pre-game, nobody believed that NYG could beat the Packers! Packers fans are wearing paper bags over their heads and walking around in a slightly stooped, dazed, slack-jawed manner. I mean, the Giants barely scraped into the playoffs (by a stroke of fortune based upon the play of another team!), and the Packers were the incumbant Super-bowlers. Prospecters barely believed that the Pats or Ravens could beat the Packers. I am utterly elated! HUZZAH! The Packers lost! Pittsburgh lost! The two teams I deplore are out!!! Hahaha!

San Francisco wasn't exactly a shock, per se, but it was a little surprising to see them actually pull it off v. the Saints... It's been a long time since the 49ers entered the playoff scene.

New England and Baltimore were no surprise. No way that Yates and the Houston Texans could hold against the Ravens... I think the surprise there is how close the scoreline was, despite the Ravens' excellent defense!

New England was exactly as most predicted. total annihilation. :P

During the game, though, you have a point. The Packers played terribly (or maybe the Giants got to them), so it was "predictable," by the half, to foresee a loss. The Ravens game was close all the way through, but the D killed Houston. Likewise, it was predictable from the first five minutes that the Pats were going to win.

Are you REALLY comparing Tim Tebow to Cam Newton? If I'm Denver, I'm not at all comfortable with my quarterback position.

Tim Tebow deserves to get the chance to prove if he can improve at the starters position over the off-season. He does not yet deserve a guaranteed starting role next season.

Shocked about the Packers-Giants game but I do think that the Giants will go on to win the Super Bowl. Meanwhile I feel like I'm the only one who thought the 49ers were gonna beat the Saints.

I've been watching SportsCenter and I can't help but feel that this Ravens team is getting disrespected a bit. I think they can beat the Patriots. I actually think they are the better team when you consider that the Ravens division had three teams that made the playoffs and they still finished with the second best record in AFC and The Patriots strongest competition in division was an 8-8 Jets team.

I'm gonna say Ravens v. Giants Super Bowl.

3-5 in playoff predictions. Hope I can tie this up by getting both CCGs correctly.

Patriots vs. Giants in the Super Bowl.

I only watched the two NFC divisional games (not for any reason other than timing).

What struck me was the number of fumble turnovers by the Saints and Packers. I read somewhere that some advanced statistics show that fumbles are recovered 50/50... in other words, a defense is not better merely because it recovers more fumbles. Applying it to those games, without anything else, I would still bet Saints and Packers to win 9 times out of 10. Shocking that they lost? No, but I think they lost because of the fumbles.

In further support of my position that the best teams didn't win, I would note that the offense of the Saints put up a whole lot of yards (and points) against a vaunted defense but came up small because of turnovers. Further, Green Bay receivers had 8 (I think) drops, most of which were on tough plays.

Frankly, I'm just upset because the Giants won. I was happy the Niners won, but I can't root for the Giants. And if it's a Giants-Patriots Super Bowl I'm going to be in a deep quandry as to who to root for.

I still wonder how thorough a job anyone could do as an offensive coordinator when your son dies a few days before a big game.

Although I'm glad the New York team won, it would be so much sweeter if that poor guy on the Packers hadn't lost his son.

Im not as comfortable with our defense as I am tebow, Hernandez was the leading rusher and had the pats longest run of the season. NOt too mention career days wer given up to almost every team we played. Our secondary minus bailey is a joke and nobody know when the pass rush will show up to play. Tebow played like shit yes, but taking a 1-4 team this far was completely unexpected, especially when tebow didnt have an offseason and changed systems/coaching staffs before walking into camp.
