Is it wrong that I laughed quite a bit in Fitzs' rant?

I mean I empathise with you but I also find the rant very funny.

I have never attacked you personally. I simply answered your questions and made perfectly reasonable suggestions about your possible personality. As to why I have empathy when I see a creature in pain and suffering, its because Ive chosen to have empathy for that creature, and fully understand what I would be feeling if I were in its....little itty bitty paws.

So yes, while you consider them just animals and not worthy of empathy, I happen to do so. And because you so passionately claim that this is beyond your understanding, I have simply made the suggestion that perhaps you are heartless and sociopathic. If you choose not to cry before you put a pigeon in your mouth however, that I can sympathize with....they peck like badasses when you blow them from what I understand.

Do you realize that close to 50 BILLION dollars a year are spent on pets in the US? I assume a significant portion of that is on CATS. My sister is a vet and has never had children; she treats her animals better than a lot of people treat their kids....she gets "upset" when one dies. I assume you are some sort of cyborg? :roll:

by the way, it was a genuine question when i asked do you eat meat. do you?

if so, why do you get upset about the cat but not the meat you eat? i get the feeling you would not eat cat, despite eating cow, pig, duck and other meats. which is odd to say the least.

damn...I had to see something he wrote.....

My first pet was a cat (38 years ago)...I loved him - I cried wen he died.

I was dragged to horseshows all my life as my sister trained them; I worked with a percheron logging for years....

Thanks. Ive been talking with my therapist since the episode aired, and we are pretty close to a breakthrough in dealing with my grief.
