"Games Played Together" or "Multi-finder" Grid

Postby bamage on Tue Feb 28, 2012 3:44 pm

Hi Guys,

I wish I knew how to develop something that would - at a glance - let me know how many games my opponents have played together. This would be handy info for a million reasons that I don't need to explain to a good CCer.

To save space, players in the grid would be identified by their color and ordinal position in the game.

There would be two settings:
- Game Count (or games played together)
- Game % (games that the top row player has played with each other player as a percent of the total number of games he's played since the other player joined CC)

That's it! I've envisioned it in this mock-up...

That would be kind of interesting to see.

I'm not that excited about using it as a tool though. Just something interesting.

Great idea! It would also be really cool if you could run that analysis on a game that is awaiting players, so you could avoid it altogether if it looked multi-loaded.

Castleman, good call. It's much more useful for using before you join a game. After you join, it's too late.

A tool like this could greatly reduce the number of Multi complaints, as players could check *before* they join and avoid games that look multi-loaded.

To be perfectly clear(er)...

This tool will show games played between other players, not just between you and each of those other players.

This would actually be a pretty simple script to write. The problem is you would need 28 web requests for an 8 player game.

Request per player chart here

Thanks, b00060!

Good call, ThrushAAX and good analysis. The more I think about this, the more I think it should be on-demand rather than automatic. Do you think the following screen shot is possible?

A button to the right of each game in the Awaiting or My Games lists that pops open a pop-up when click...
