Bobby Orr.

The rest of what you said makes sense though.

I personally think Nash stays put, and they try to trade him in the summer. I feel Columbus gets a better return for him then, when teams are more willing to blow up their rosters.

Montreal has already unloaded Andrei Kostitsyn to Nashville, where he reunites with his brother, Sergei.

nhl lottery on april 10th ( all the 14 teams out of playoff got a chance to win the lottery wich if you win you can advance 4 ranks )

montreal = what else to say ( at least a few players were good )

toronto = no playoff participation since the lock-out ( florida panthers as well )

my surprise of the year = eastern conf = florida panthers in the west = hitchcok and he's 2 goalies

good luck to you all with your teams in the playoffs !!! lucky you !! =D> =D>

P.s.: congrats to serbia and his red wings for a 20th consecutive playoff spot !!!!! ( best record in the new nhl )

Been an amazing run for the Wings. I'm too young to remember the Dead Wings of the 80's. Basically, the Wings for me have always been Yzerman and Lidstrom. Going to be a sad day once Nick hangs 'em up.

And if Detroit doesn't get healthy fast, they'll be looking at a quick exit this year as well. They need to sweep their home and home with Columbus these next 3 days.

R.I.P the Winnipeg Jets.

Hell of a season for a starting club. Caught one game this year as tickets cost a kidney and a lung from your first born. Atmosphere in that arena is so pumped it's surreal.

Jets are my second favourite team, next to the Sens. So I was conflicted last night (well, not too conflicted, maybe just a tiny bit. But my wife was plenty mad...). But they aren't technically a starting cub. They were in Atlanta for a long time...just that they were awful. Future looks good for them though. Now all we need are les Nordiques back and everything will be right in the hockey world.

it's not a starting club, a starting club is an expansion team ... not a trade team ( colorado won the cup on their first year as a team ), but hell of a season ( it's intimidating playing in winipeg big up to the fans )

my bad forgot one ... anyway amazing run for them ( sweden files ), and that brawl was something but my personal favorite is the '' vendredi saint '' between Montreal and QuƩbec ( but i live there so ... ) and the Philadelphia vs Montreal pre-game brawl ( no referee on the ice ).

p.s.: montreal got rid of their g.m. and special assistant to g.m. Gauthier and Gainey, they brought back ''the senator'' Serge Savard, WE ARE BACK !!!

do you guys think Hunter will stay with the caps ?
will the predators be better with radulov ??
will the crosby show steal the cup ???

It's about time that the Habs booted Gauiter. He was awful for them.

Nashville is a good team, and adding Radulov only helps. As a Wings fan, I'm not looking forward to playing the Preds in the 1st Round.

The Western Conference is a tight bunch trying to squeeze into the playoffs,
particularly the Pacific Division.

The blues in the West are going to be tough. Not sure which Veznia candidate goalie they go with to start the playoffs.

They haven't improved much in their new surroundings, currently at 78 pts with -20 goals. Last season they finished with 80 pts and -46 goals.

The thing they have improved is they actually make money now. So for the owners that is a big improvement. The team meanwhile is great at home. The road not so much. That goes with having the worst travel schedule in the NHL. But with 5 games left, they could get as high as 88 points. So that would still be an improvement over last year.

If I haven't looked it up or watched a game this year, or taken the time to do so what are the chances of me clicking that link?
I was looking for a summary from someone who paid attention to winnipeg this year, not someone telling me I should go look it up ;) Standings dont tell the whole story, someone could make the playoffs but could have been expected to win their division, but barely made it, or vice versa. not expected to get in, but blew people away.

thus, I'm looking for a summary / perspective on the team, and not just a few stats that dont really tell me a huge amount of information on.

last year i paid attention, this year ive been busy. ill be watching next year, so wanted an idea of what went on this year with winnipeg.
