I don't know much about this character, but I can confirm the Thalmor exist in this game.

Make of it what you will.

My vote on CMS stands.

Here's the thing about the death of the emperor: if you play the Dark Brotherhood quest-line to its end, you (Dovahkiin) kill the emperor. Could that explain our hero's red name?

I'm not sure, it's not that stupid, for one there is no chance of being counter claimed, and if the character is at least morally ambiguous enough there is a chance to BS your way through it, back in futurama mafia I was given the fakeclaim of hyperchicken lawyer, but I went ahead and claimed my real SK name Robot Santa, claiming overeager vig, it took forever to get lynched that day, even after I gave up
(reason for my lynch was unrelated to claim, more about the targets I had chosen...)

A bit curious that nag chimed in to defend him perhaps... As well as a defense towards the motives of the dark brotherhood, I would think there is more than one killing faction based on last night.

Anyhow, by the opening scene alone, I believe it is mainly Thalmor and their allies as the bad guys, since maven has ties with just about everyone, and alliances to herself above all, it's hard to see her as town, I would have believed third party survivor easily...
hmm, on the other hand, the daedra freaking prince of sin was skyrim, sooo....
I don't know, perhaps we should head up other cases before deciding.

Also, I believe it may help to guess the roles of thalmor further down the line, so we know what to expect of their night actions.

any guesses?

It proves something...

You'll probably be dead in the morning, unless we have a Doc who is feeling particularly generous. It's a shame you had to fall back on a role-claim. Out of curiousity, what made you choose to steal Kage's vote?

Unvote: CMS

ghostly447 wrote:Guys, I just read the past page that I missed. I am curious if anyone else feels like the mini brawl between New Guy1, Clever, and X (leading to the CMS claim??? SOMEHOW???) was kind of like an attempt to disassociate them from each other? FOS you 3 because that was not only confusing, but also ended too easily in a sudden understanding that it was a misunderstanding.

I don't see how you think the two things are related. Newguy and I have been bickering with each other on and off since his 'softclaim' Day 1(which should not be overlooked, I might add.)

new guy1 wrote:Yep, sorry to say I have the same reasoning for being gone as ghostly, just been out alot and dont have much to add. Instead of posting last night I was too tired to do so and so just read up and fell asleep. And I dont want to start a shit storm by posting things that have already been posted before, and so I will just write up on current events. For jak, I can see why he gets pissed off because he is pressured just about every game Ive been in with him. As for Iron Butterfly's post on being damned whether you post or not, I have found that I never really get the hang of the joke voting and so when I do post regularly I find I am pressured much more then when I am quiet. Therefore whether I am town or not it helps to keep me from having to claim, therefore keeping me from revealing powerroles and whatnot. This is hinting Im not a VT, as when Im a VT I speak alot more as I dont have much to lose.

On another note, I believe I figured out the sides we are dealing with here. Just a quick mention again, I know zero about the lore, so all I have to go off of is the Skyrim wiki. I believe, based on the actions of the previous night, the day 1 scene, and through some reading of my own, we are dealing with Imperial(or Skyrim? Not sure how the naming conventions in this theme work for 'town') vs Stormcloaks with the Thalmor as a third faction with a seperate set of victory conditions.

Skyrim Wiki wrote:Civil War

Although not blatantly offering aid, the Thalmor supported the Imperial Legion in its battle against the Stormcloaks. The Thalmor was more interested in weakening the morale of Skyrim than supporting either cause.

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Thalmor ^

So, then, if we want an idea for their VC in mafia game terms, perhaps they have to kill influential people of Skyrim in order to win? That could explain the Dovahakiin kill during the night. If that's not someone who boosts morale, I don't know who would be.

Thoughts?

wow quite a bit has happened since D2 started, it is strange that the Dovahkiins color is red when his faction is Skyrim, when another Skyrim guy (our Daedric friend) is colored blue and CMS's claim Maven is also Blue colored Skyrim faction, another thing is Brynjolf, he is colored blue but it says he is a thieves guild thief, and not a skyrim thief, so does that mean another faction or am i just thinking into it too much?

About CMS's claim, He is definitely a politician since he took my vote, and the character of Maven Blackbriar also fits, she is very influential (she basically has the thieves guild at her beck and call) she is unscrupulous (she's not afraid of sabotaging her competition or employing the DB too remove troublesome people) I am actually surprised CMS doesn't also have a one-shot NK ability by way of the Dark Brotherhood

I think thats all I can say atm, for now it is time to sleep

I'm not exactly sure what your problem is, but insulting people isn't going to get them on your side. Evidence regardless. I I could, I'd lynch you for acting like a tool(notice how I said 'acting like' and not 'you are?')

Hey, I would rather all arguments had both sides looked at and the pros and cons of someone being lynched were examined before we jump straight on the bandwagon of lynching CMC. We have already had one ML and I would like to at all costs avoid another...

Crazy, calm yourself. I think your claim is pretty solid.

Let me be clear here: the Jarls HATE the Thalmor. There's no way one would be aligned with them. I think we should look elsewhere.

I find this bit interesting. "I am actually surprised CMS doesn't also have a one-shot NK ability by way of the Dark Brotherhood" Is he calling me a SK? surely some other character would be a better character than maven. Sithis or the Night Mother have potental of being in the game, but if anybody was the SK I think it would be either Astrid (Leader of the dark brotherhood that you can kill to destroy the dark brotherhood) or Nazir (One of the members to survive the destroying of the DawnStar Sanctuary.)

So for that, Vote Kager. But i shall refrain from putting the other vote on him.

I believe cms at this point. I think he is still a bit new which is why he was a bit eager to point out how he could " prove" his role. While kager has definitely been scummy quiet I still like the case on jonty for his mindless bandwagoning.

In regards to place games flavor i am beginning to think it might be those that prefer the status quo in blue verse those that are trying to change things which would explain why the main character was in a reddish color. It may not be your " typical" townies but the same thing was done in Sherwood forest when robin hood and the merry men were mafia with prince John sheriff of Nottingham etc as pro town.
