  Inspiration This tournament is based on the NASCAR Spint Cup playoff system known as The Chase. During this tournament, we will play the last 10 races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, The Chase, in a series of standard games. Basics There will be a qualifying stage for every race, followed by a game for every 100 miles of the race. At the end of every race, points will be awarded for that race based on position of finish. Bonus points will be awarded for winning your qualifying stage, leading a lap, leading the most laps, winning, and moving up the most positions in the race. After all 10 races are complete, the driver with the most points will be crowned the Sprint Cup Champion!! Eliminations and Tiebreakers After every race stage a few people will be eliminated from that race. This will be determined by how they finished their stage of the race. At the beginning of the qualifying stage, 49 drivers will compete in 7 qualifying stage games. These games will be setup using random.org. 6 of the 7 lowest finishers of each game will not qualify for the race. At the beginning of the race we will start with 43 drivers, as always. They will compete in 7 games (six games with 6 players and one with 7). These games will be setup based on qualifying positions. Three of these drivers will suffer from blown engines. It will be the two lowest finishers in the 37-43 driver race and the worst finisher from all the other games. The next worst finisher from all of the other games, will suffer a blown tire and move to last. The top winner of each group will move up to the next group and the loser will move down. For miles 101-200, we will have eight 5 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. Also, 4 players will suffer a blown engine and be eliminated. It will be the last 2 from the 36-40 game and the two worst finishers from the other games. The third worst finisher will suffer a blown tire and move to last place. For miles 201-300300 Mile Races, we will have six 6 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. The race will be over. 400 Mile Races, we will have six 6 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. Also, 4 players will suffer a blown engine and be eliminated. It will be the last 2 from the 31-36 game and the two worst finishers from the other games. The third worst finisher will suffer a blown tire and move to last place. 500 Mile Races, we will have six 6 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. Also, 6 players will suffer a blown engine and be eliminated. It will be the last 3 from the 31-36 game and the three worst finishers from the other games. The fourth worst finisher will suffer a blown tire and move to last place.  For miles 301-400400 Mile Races, we will have four 8 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. The race will be over. 500 Mile Races, we will have six 6 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. Also, 6 players will suffer a blown engine and be eliminated. It will be the last 3 from the 31-36 game and the three worst finishers from the other games. The third worst finisher will suffer a blown tire and move to last place.  For miles 401-500, we will have three 8 player games. The winner of each game will move up and the loser will move down. The race will be over. In Game Tiebreakers Order of elimination from game. If game reaches round limit, the secondary determination is troop count. If troop count is the same, it will be treated as a tie and a photo finish for that race stage.
