The guards of Winterhold escorted shield into the Jarl's Longhouse. Jarl Kraldar presided over his questioning.

"So, stranger, What do you have to say over the death of our mage friend?" Kraldar asked?

"I don't know anything about the death of the mage. I'm just passing through Winterhold."

"No one just passes through Winterhold. At least, not anymore. Anyone who comes here has business either with a resident or with someone at the College. So, what business did you have, if it isn't what we see before us?"

"It's...it's personal, Jarl."

"Guard's, search him." The Jarl commanded. The guards frisked him and searched through shield's pockets. They found something, part of a dagger with very ornate decorations and runes. They brought it up to the Jarl. shield protested.

"No...don't take that. My family has been charged with keeping that safe for generations. I can't let that fall into the wrong hands!" shield shouted.

"This is very impressive, traveller. Very...magical....but it's obviously the hilt of a dagger. Where is the blade?" Kraldar asked.

"I don't know where the blade it. I'd rather not know." shield replied. The Jarl gave it to his steward, Malur Seloth, and asked "Can you tell me what this is?"

"I'm not sure." Malur replied. I could send it to the College and have them identify it."

"Do it." Kraldar said.

"No, give it back! I can't trust the mages to take care of it!" shield shouted.

"I don't think you will care about it in very short order." Kraldar replied.

Up in the throne room of the Blue Palace in Solitude, Jarl Elisif the Fair and her court were discussing the future of Skyrim.

"I assure you, Jarl," Falk Firebeard, the steward, said, "that the current crisis will subside and you will be crowned as the High Queen in due time."

"I wouldn't want to make any rash assumptions, Firebeard," the Jarl replied, "I do not share your faith in the certainty that this crisis will be resolved as quickly and decisively as you imagine. What about the rumors that a member of the Imperial Legion was murdered within our own city walls?"

"Unfortunately, my Jarl, we can confirm that those rumors are true. One of our Legionnaires was slain within Solitude." Firebeard responded.

"Then how can any of us be safe?" the Jarl asked.

"The Legion will protect us, Jarl." Firebeard responded.

"I...I know they will..." Elisif responded timidly. She looked down and whispered to herself "Oh, Torygg."

Yes, he proved himself one day, but since then he hasn't used it again - why would someone use a power given by the mod only once. In the final day, even as town it would give him immunity in the final day to dictate the play. Definitely seems like it was a one shot power to me, maybe he was a one shot bus driver too among other things. Either way he is lying.

Nagerous was chained up and brought before Jarl Elisif the Fair. General Tullius and Falk Firebeard were present for the trial.

Falk Firebeard read the charges. "Nagerous, you stand accused ofaiding and abetting the Thalmor against the province of Skyrim and the Empire of Tamriel, as well as the murder of many people that I do not have the time to recount here. How do you plead?"

"Not guilty. I would never aid the Thalmor in their goals. My people have been fighting the Thalmor, and have been much more successful than you have ever been."

Firebeard brought a piece of Imperial armor from the back. "Exhibit A, a set of Imperial armor that belonged to one Hadvar, a great Legionnare who was murdered last night. By you."

"The empire has done nothing about the Thalmor. I have, much more than you could ever do." nagerous responded.

"So you admit that you killed him?" "Firebeard responded.

"I'll admit nothing." nagerous said flatly. He had been fiddling with his chains all throughout the trial. He slipped them off now, and was able to break free. The guards were attentive and noticed what he was doing, and moved in. nagerous pulled out a scimitar that, due to his skills, the guards had missed.

Firebeard shouted out "He's got a curved sword! CURVED! SWORD! Protect the Jarl at all costs!" He drew his sword and went by the throne. Jarl Elisif stood up and ran to her bedchamber. Tullius escorted her. Nagerous skillfully killed four of the guards that came after him and charged towards Elisif. Firebeard clashed with nagerous and they locked swords together. Tullius was able to get behind nagerous and stab him in the back with his own sword. nagerous fell to the ground, dead.

The crisis was over. The Thalmor infiltrators had been defeated and their plans to invade Skyrim and the Empire had been thwarted. The remnants of the Dark Brotherhood and the Stormcloaks had been killed, and although they lost the Emperor and the Dovahkiin and many others, the Empire's security had never been greater since the time of Tiber Septim. All that was left was for General Tullius to give a speech commemorating their victory.

"I hate giving speeches." he replied.
