Night Strike? Do you mean me?

vote edocsil
Your argument basically boils down to: "We have no one else yet, so everyone lynch rookies." You have absolutely no reasoning behind your vote except that its better than nothing. The most ironic thing is that the only people who would follow this train of logic is the rookies. Just because we don't have any solid leads doesn't mean we just give up. I feel like you're trying to rush this day along.
And I don't think you can call it an "offhand comment" when you took it seriously enough to vote happyfeet.
In case you didn't notice, this is me putting out better ideas.

Something about edoc pressuring the rookie that has been pointed out before that I would like to reiterate. It's been brought up before that pressuring an inactive is an acceptable jump starter for a game, and happy certainly fits that description as well. But edoc has seemingly made the case against happy purely on being new, which I think is WIFOMY at best about whether they're mafia or not. Instead of taking the more reasonable submariner accusation, he's basically doubled down on the rookie comment and targeting happy for that reason instead. Which I think is unreasonable, but given that it overlaps with inactive so I'm willing to vote/hammer for different reasons.

I didn't like Edoc's lynch the rookies comment and I still kind of feel that Mr. Squirrel was trying to direct the cop yesterday.. Happy is L-1. I'll give him time to claim but otherwise he's been completely inactive so it's hard to care about his role in the game.

Happy is contributing little because he is submarining and rookie who is having a hard time finding the feel of the game. (If you are reading, you should claim happy) The reasons for WHY he is contributing are far less important then the fact that he isn't. Anyhow, it's the last I'll say in the defense of my actions unless people actually try to hang me over it.
You are partially right here. Making a lynch of an inactive player is not usually scummy. And while I agree happyfeet is entirely deserving of the pressure he is getting, I think you're justifications are equally scummy. Lynching newbies or deciding a players fate based on their experience in the game can be a scummy action. I can think of many ways this could be hurtful to town.edocsil wrote:I think you more dislike what I am doing on a personal level, you may find it unfair, heavy handed, or arrogant. All of those are valid opinions, but the action isn't scummy. Either he has a rock solid claim and we can leave him alone and not worry about him, or we get to endgame and we will have a player who hasn't spoken. Those are the two paths I see, and I do not want to leave an opening at LYLO for the scum to try to force an easy lynch.

I meant to respond to your 'direct the cop' accusation yesterday, and I forgot to. Sorry about that.

Edocsil, I do not have an issue with the lynch on happyfeet specifically. I do however have an issue with the methods by which you are directing the town. You are claiming that all rookies should be lynched in instances where we can't find any other leads. Obviously if happyfeet does come up scum, I will probably be placed on the chopping block tomorrow. That said, I feel that your guidance of the town here is an error and that is why I am harping on you so much. You are partially right here. Making a lynch of an inactive player is not usually scummy. A simple enough answer but you are experienced enough to know that knowing where a cop may visit at night helps mafia much more than it does town. pretty much the best town can do to help a cop is to busdrive him so he doesn't get roleblocked/killed, protect him or track him so the tracker can ensure he's getting the result for the correct person. None of those really require town to know who he's visited while in the case of a mafia busdriver or a framer it helps them decide their actions fairly decisively. Easiest and best suggestion you could have made for CM5 is to Tell him it's best not to let mafia know who he's investigating. Telling them this is fairly common too.Mr. squirrel wrote:edocsil wrote:So if I had said the same name with a different preface to an identical argument I would been in the 100% clear?

I wrote:Personally, I don't think you are insane. In games with 3rd party characters, that leads to some gray areas. I also don't think you're paranoid, but thats just intuition. If you want to check, I suppose tonight you could target crazymilkshake. If you get scum, then you might be paranoid (or the two are playing a very dangerous game as scumbuddies). If you get town though, then jak needs to be lynched.
unvote until we figure this out.

thanks for the support and understanding edocil. i can make lynch decision if you guys want me to contribute. i will need to go back and read things. so, give me a day and ill post who we should lynch. ill try to make some logic out of it. anyways, if i get lynched it has been very interesting. i have now completed one game of mafia. I was the first person to be lynched. so, i didnt get much experience from that game.
thanks happyfeet

No it means you claim or you hang. I won't even be the one to hang you.
