My friend, voting no lynch is a classic scum move. Unless people think outing 2 third party survivor roles is enough for today, there is still information to be gained today. With 25 people, I think we can hold out for more information.

Now is not the time to move to night and give mafia free kills. We'll be right back at the same place tomorrow with no real leads.

I am really sick of how everyone always says this is scummy. It really isn't. It's just newbish. I cannot think of a single game in which a new player who actually suggested a NL on Day 1 was scum. Most games blur together though, but the fact remains that I do not see this as a scumtell.

At least you didn't vote him.

I wasn't personally there, but I think captain walrus or gregwolf's first game, they were mafia gf, and straight voted no lynch on Day 1 and got lynched for it. There is precedent.

Regardless, the logic behind it being a bad idea remain the same. Not enough information for us leads to a repeat of Day 1 on Day 2 except we'll probably lose some players to mafia nightkills.

If you did it, it would be scummy (IIRC, I think you DID do it in your first game). Not from him, though. He didn't realize the gravity of statement. And I did note that safari didn't vote him, and I agree that he should learn that it's a bad idea. I'm just speaking my mind about the whole NL idea.

And that's one or two to how many others? I disagree that one or two players set a precedent when there is a clear indication that most of the time it's just a townie trying to hedge their bets. I won't go so far as to say correlation equals causation, but I will say that it can't be used as a determinant factor.

I'll agree that it's generally a bad idea (Situationally, it can work. See Zelda Mafia).

NLing has its place in small games, where a mislynch could set the town back almost irreparably. but in big games like this, it doesnt matter so much

Regardless, I argue it's semantics because it's still grounds for a vote regardless of which reason you choose. I bring it up so people don't jump on redhedge again and lead to both me and him dying/losing.

Then I would suggest from here forward it is made clear to new players via PM from the game MOD,that they read and understand game rules.

And notified at that time if they stray from the aforementioned rules MOD KILL instantly. No more arguement's

Now as to this game it has happened,I see both sides of this as does everyone else. It came down to red having to claim,Saf has backed him on the claim. So it boils down to whether or not the claim is believed or not.

If so we move on in the time we have left.

If no one can poke any holes in the claim,I will not be a hypocrite and vote for survivors. Most of you know my view on survivor rolls.

For those that dont,I dont believe in killing survivors unless they prove untrustworthy.

But how do you get to know who is trying to catch scum and who isn't? How do you get the voting patterns without reasonable votes? If people think it is a great idea to just BW people to claim point all the time, then vote patterns mean f*ck all.

I would call your play scummy, because it helps mafia to avoid suspicion if only you were not serious.

Iron Butterfly wrote: On day one no one can really prove anything so its all conjecture.

It is like that every day, or it should be. Otherwise there would not be much of a game.

Don't get me wrong I have no problem with wagons on inactives, or people who aren't doing much. It is the whole issue of forcing people to claim as soon as anyone casts suspicion on a player. If you can fake claim well then this game is easy as mafia.

A while back I posted that I had a feeling about PMC and voted him. I guess I should substantiate the claim. This is the post that I found most strange. Previous to this, he went on for a little about not voting redhedge just because he was a newbie, but the tone of his this post is just too energetic. Then he claims that someone's play is scummy. I just think that this whole post smells of masked mafia goonery.

So I hope this clears up to thechuck51 as to where I got my gut feeling from. That's all.

It's called Meta'ing. As long as they don't say anything about an ongoing mafia that could give someone an edge in it they are allowed to Meta.

you seem to be aggressively skimming. we could at least ask if they want to be pro-town and help us out!

^ I quoted this and you seriously typed in red instead of blue? What? Am I not worth that extra letter anymore?!?!? But anyways, another problem with this is that your vote was on someone else. With no unvote this doesn't count even if it were to be in blue.

Alright guys, scene coming up shortly, but I am changing RULE 4. It can be in any colour but I will still not accept it if there is no unvote if you voted someone else... this colour thing I think killed Redhedge, some unvotes and votes weren't counted because they broke Rule 4. So as thus, I think I will change it because a simple colour change seems to be too much for some of you.

Scene coming up, but do not send in night actions yet, the day is over but it's not, another scene will be coming up before it's over. So relax, wait, and I'll mention when it's over again in the 2nd scene (also the title will be changed).

Hmm, you're right, I saw the unvote but I guess I never deleted your name when I thought I did, so it ended up looking like you voted with a vote already, however, it isn't sufficient enough to change who died. Scene below.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, the men accused one another for the death of Corporal Davis. At one point they even began to brawl. I did not see what happened because I was in the washroom at the time. Five men are in the infirmary, three are knocked out and resting in their beds, two are charged with assault, and another is dead. His name was Lucas Munro, he was a mere private from what I knew about him.

Private Lucas Munro (NPC) has been killed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, after the men stopped fighting in the cafeteria, we gathered down in the Entertainment Hall. I'm not sure whether it was the music, the lighting, the mess, or the fact that there were two hunters staring down at us that the men were terrified. They were so scared that their minds weren't able to comprehend two hunters sitting down on the couch, watching an old RAMBO film on the 40'' television we had set up. Most of the men hesitated, however a few of the marines raised their side arms and fired. Bullets ricocheted from M6G pistols, however a sergeant was able to nick one of the hunters in the neck. It's thick orange blood spewed from the hole in its neck. It collapsed to the floor, dead.

Taark Hunter Brother #1 (Redhedge) has been deadline lynched.

However, the other hunter was quick to get into combat position. We had no chance at taking him out from this angle with its huge metal shield covering his unarmoured flesh. I leveled my MA5C assault rifle to its waist, waiting for the right moment to take him down.....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(2nd part of the scene coming up when I get an action from a certain someone, no other actions will be accepted until the end of the next scene)

(Also, the NPC's are just for fun, so don't take them seriously).

Sometimes they are not given, just alignment. However, that is rare. Siblings (brother) is a role occasionally. It's similar to a lover. Still, best to not talk much with the scene already being posted.

I thought you guys would get the hint that it's a no talking part. There's to be no talking until tomorrow, this is the first and last warning, anything after this post before Day 2 will result in a mod kill.

By the way, it's not poor grammar Voldemort. It's intentional.

Any questions anyone, pm me, but no more posting in here until Day 2 begins.

.... After seeing the death of his brother Taark, Uuta had seen enough of these pathetic humans. He raised to his feet and charged at the one who made the deadly blow to his brother. Raising his shield high above his head and turning it so the human would not die from the spikes surrounding the shield, but the bluntness of the front of it. He brought down his shield onto the puny human, the human's body crumpled up below as her head burst wide open. That was the last thing Uuta remembered seeing, the last thing he heard was the gun shot from behind.

Samantha, Mafia Busdriver (Brandell) Has been killed.
Uuta, Hunter Brother #2 (Safariguy) Has committed suicide.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The hunter took a swing at one of the women. Quickly I dodged to the left avoiding barely being hit myself, rolling around back I unloaded my entire sixty round clip of MA5C bullets into its back. Within seconds it lay in a pool of orange blood. Its blood. Whatever those two hunters were doing here, they didn't survive long but they managed to take a crew member with them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I watched in horror, Samantha's skull was crushed open, another of our men shot the hunter in the back, killing it and saving the rest of the team. Quickly though the mornings were lost when one of the lieutenants checked Samantha's body. She was carrying an insignia inside her black leather jacket that only those of the Insurrectionists carried.

It came to no surprise to anyone that she did not receive a proper burial. Insurrectionists deserved no remorse. Her body was ejected out of the airlocks. No guns were fired, no words were said, just dozens of soldiers and engineers watching her body drift out to space. Most of the men and women never even bothered to watch, after cleaning up the blood in the entertainment hall they went about their duties or relaxed in the hall its self.
