Once Doom confirms, he will be replacing PMC. I have mailed Larry46 and if he doesn't come back by Day 2 Safari v2 will be replacing him (He didn't know enough for it to upset the game balance luckily).

jak,

Please by all means replace me as I really don't understand the Mafia concept. Sorry to have wasted your and the other players time.

I think it's early enought that my leaving will not upset the balance.

Take care,

Larry

A red sun rises... wait, that's the wrong movie and this is in space. Too bad, he thought, for that would have been an excellent quote for what happened last night. He thought many things since the encounter with those blasted hunters, more death was not on his mind when he awoke this morning. He went to the Mess Hall to find he was the only one there. Spooky. This place was always crawling with people. Not even the cafeteria was open for some nice hot pizza, so he settled with something from the vending machine.
"Oh f*ck... they really need to replenish these vending machines", he sourly said aloud as he looked at his two choices. A week old scrambled egg sandwich, or the bagged biscuits. Looking at those biscuits he thought to himself, f*ck... I can see the blue mold turn green and then black if I continue to stare at that. He quickly put in his credits card and bought the sandwich. At least eggs wouldn't turn bad with a bit of mold he thought to himself and the bread doesn't look half bad. As he walked over to his usual table on the far left corner of the room, closer to the washrooms in case he needed to go throw up his breakfeast. He never quite reached his seat when he heard it. The loud scraping of metal against metal was hard to miss. It was coming from the Cafeteria. He took a quick bite from his sandwich before putting it onto the table as he slowly made his way to the Cafeteria door.
"W-Wh-Who's there?" He asked as if he'd get a reply.
"Uuggh..." Came a muffled groan from somewhere beyond the door.
The marine didn't have his sidearm on him, stupid of him to do after yesterday's encounter, he pushed the door open, gripping his tactical knife in its holster as he peered into the darkness of the cafeteria.
"Who's there?" He asked again, trying to pinpoint where the groan came from. The Cafeteria was a bit bigger than he remembered when he worked dishes here back in the day.
"Uggh, h-help... m.." Came the muffled groan again, it was coming from the back where the kitchen was located. The marine raised his knife from his holster as he pulled a flashlight out of the nearby cabinet to his right. They kept one here just in case of power failures. Flicking on the flashlight, he began to slowly trudge over to the back of the cafeteria. Flashing his light over the stove he saw dark thick red blood smearing the top. The counters themselves had blood slowly dripping off the sides and down onto the floor. The marine was about to get the f*ck out of there when he heard it again.
"O-over... h-her..." said the voice. It came from the door near the pantry. Blood trailed from the stove all the way to the pantry door. The marine moved his way over to the door, looking down just in time to see a hand grab onto his left ankle as he stepped into the room. He was about to stab the grabber when he saw a familiar face. That of petty officer first class, Jacob. This was a scene of horror. His belly was what appears to be cut open. His small intestine was wrapped around the meat grinder on the shelf above his head.
"W-who did this to you J-jacob?" The marine asked
"I-i-it... w-w-was... i-it w-was th..." and with that he let out a long low breath. His eyes were dull and blank now. The marine put his hand over his face and gently lowered his eyes with one sweep of his hand.
"Rest in peace dear friend" The marine said aloud to nobody but himself. Who could have done this he thought as he dropped his knife onto the floor. I gotta warn the crew...

Jacob, Town Paranoid Flood Survivor (Iron Butterfly) has been brutally murdered.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few minutes after everyone gathered in the Entertainment Hall, a marine burst through the door. He kept going on and on about how Jacob was found murdered and that his insides were all over the place. A few marines quickly subdued him and made him look upon what we had here. If he thought what he was saying was bad, he went silent once he looked upon the horrifying scene above him. Plastered all over the walls were the insides of another marine. However, this one was strung up like a sacrifice. His arms were nailed out on the rafters and his feet were nailed together to the beam below. If it weren't for the dog tags found below his body, people would have not known who he even was.
"A-a-a-a Spartan? Oh f*ck man... those guys are supposed to be invincible... this is not happening, this is not happening!" The marine who burst in started muttering, he was soon quieted as the men who subdued him placed their hands over his mouth.

The captain came down from the bridge shortly after, standing below the body. "We will find who did this marines, we will find who did this to our Spartan and we will not stop hunting him or her down until we find them and make them pay for what they've done here. That is all, get back to work marines, we have a long day ahead of us".

Spartan III Ray, Town Ineffective JOAT (Jonty125) Has been murdered.

A few dark figures are seen in a room. Many have their eyes on one another. However, one can be seen clearly. Vodean is seen rummaging in through another person's personal items. He takes time looking at everything, as if trying to figure something out about that person. There is one man in particular behind Vodean that the camera picks up. He seems to be coming in a bit too close for comfort although Vodean does not seem to notice what's going on as he's still busy looking through all the different personal items.
Another motion is detected and the camera goes black.

Day 2 Starts. With 20 alive it takes 11 to lynch. No deadline has been set yet. Hope you all liked this longer scene from the past 2.

Do I see three factions? As indicated by the different kill colors? Looks like hunters, mafia, and town? We were trying to get that sort out some time before all this.

If that was a townie who blocked me, refrain from doing so again. However, that is more of a scum meta to block old players, and I don't think I was throwing bad vibes yesterday. Moral of the story, a cop claim need to be watched, as the scum likely have a blocker.

Barring better leads I will vote CM5 It is obvious with the death of the survivors and the scum that the foes are not the Covenant. None of them have a MO of this sort of butchery, or symbolism, that is a human thing.

Not to mention that clearly there is a human mafia faction as shown by my V 1.0 kill yesterday.

I'm a bit concerned about what happened to vodean, flood maybe? One of the dead townies was a flood survivor...

Maybe vodean was silenced. I just thought about it cause I cant think of any other reason why a camera would pick him up with another person and then not have him dead... Those are my personal thoughts anyways. As far as possible leads I dont really have a personal option, so Im going to wait for some feedback to see if I can make up my mind. Also jak, I liked the scenes. Very creative ;)

That could be a possibility. But then would it not have to be the flood seen on camera? It might be a cult too, and Im sure it could be many other things but I cant think of any right now. Any other ideas people? Also, any night actions come back with something of worth?

So my impression from the scene is that vodean is a role cop who was then targeted by someone else. The only indication of this second person's action is that he "got too close for comfort" which can mean a great variety of things.

I don't know much about the flavour of halo, but judging that both kills were fairly brutal and horrific I'm assuming neither were a town vig.

And since the camera scene gave us some insight to Vodean's role I would assume it is due to the power of a player. The final line of someone saving and uploading certainly suggests this.

Alright I have been thinking hard about what I am about to say next, and I think I am making the right decision here.

I am George, the Overseer. I am a forced multiple action JOAT (for lack of a better description). I can perform different actions at night but my choices are limited abd forced in certain ways. I do not think it beneficial to town to completely out my role.

Last night I watched jgordon visit iron butterfly. I also busdrove hippo and iron butterfly (I targetted hippo with the watch so in effect I watched IB).

Vote jgordon

I decided to out because I effectively have a guilty (the kill was of a horrific nature indicating non town) and to clear up any confusipn my forced busdrive may have caused.

Well, I cant argue with it, and since it will take 11 to lynch, I will Vote jgordon... of course I remember the blue votes when it doesnt matter anymore :D. I would like to hear a rebuttle from jg though before we just lynch him, which I think 11 players getting on to lynch him before he gets on to speak is a little far fetched, but I just wanted to make sure we should give him a chance to speak... ya' know?:P

All I know from this night is that I too got blocked. So we may have multiple roleblockers, maybe one town and one mafia, but it's impossible to say at this point.

Also I think jg has some explaining to do indeed.

Vote jgordon to add pressure.

I'd caution against straight-up speed lynching. Wouldn't want to rashly lynch the Chief.

Well just off the cuff you have a little explaining to do yourself,But first things first, I did not use my role at all last night,I was unsure of who to target and therefore I sat tight, which means you calling me out has most likely made me a target.

Now on to you and your description of your night actions, why for goodness sakes would you target hippo to watch,if you were worried about him then turn and busdrive him with IB,which in effect changed the whole targeting? And then step forward and announce who you are and call me out.

This makes absolutley no sense to me,please explain. And damn you guys didnt pick up the flaw in all this

I was aware my busdrive would affect my subsequent actions, I even PM'd jak to confirm this. So I never had any intention to target hippo, my intention was always to target IB.

My logic in watching a target on my busdrive was the ability to see what actions on the targets of my bus drive were influenced (one half at least). If I hadn't watched you visit IB (subsequently brutally murdered) I wouldn't have outed and would have more subtly played it out.

My actions at night are somewhat forced. I was forced to busdrive, I figured it would be safest to watch a target of my busdrive. I can't quite remember my logic in bussing hippo and IB but I do remember there were vibes from certain posts for both of them that inclined me to lean towards hippo being scum and IB being town (hence the watching of IB). These were nothing more than vibes, I was using what I could because I was forced to bus. I can find the posts that did this if you think it is vital but they were definitely nothing solid and I'm using a smart phone atm which is a pain for multiple quotes.

I will happily give a full claim of my powers if people feel it is needed. I would rather keep it to myself but I can understand why people may feel it is necessary. I don't see it as a focal point of the case and the less un-necessary claims better.

The main points are: I was forthcoming about the busdrive. I watched jgordan visit someone who was brutally murdered. I am relatively sure about my sanity (overseer seems like it would be a sane role).

hmmm no dont give a full out of your role if you have more,I believe your reasoning behind your actions,it didnt read that way the first time.

I am still mystified how I am in this picture. fortunantley I am not forced to perform my role each night.

As I stated previous I performed no actions last night, did not have a solid for sure target.
