Moderator intervention is running rampant in this thread for groundless reasons of "things may get worse!"

I've already had threads like this where I explicitly allowed posters to troll only me. Note: no harm was done. Things did not get "out of hand."

Again, you have no good reasons for your unnecessary moderation. Surely, you can see this.

Besides, there's no rule against what I'm doing, and the previous informal laws set the precedent for allowing me to create such threads. There's no harm being done, and there's no need for top-down moderation; therefore, your position is completely groundless.

So the question is: will you uphold the informal law of CC in a reasonable fashion? Or will you pursue the unnecessary agenda of enforcing your arbitrary rules (or the rules of your superiors--if they even decided on this matter)?

Hey, even if you use the reason of "no trolling is allowed. PERIOD! (EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!)," then you expose to all of us that once again your rulings are completely inconsistent. Trolling is allowed in this forum because it's not punished regularly. Many people get away with trolling--even when minor harm is created.

Why do some moderators take such a laissez-faire approach in this forum on trolling?

Because obviously the enforcement against All Trolling (as provided in the formal laws) is completely unnecessary.

Except when you delve deep into actually sorting things out with references and pinning definitions and bases for arguments and such... then I lose interest because I just wanna be like, "HEY DAWG, YOU'SE WRONG 'CUZ <INSERT ONLY SOMEWHAT THOUGHT-OUT OPINION HERE>!" instead of srs bsns. (AKA - too much effort required from me.)
But I appreciate you bringing it in regardless, even if it's for me because it lays down the law in a sense.
