forum name change

Post by fadedpsychosis »

while certainly more characteristic of what goes on in this forum... the latin phrase is actually "ad hominem"

funny thing is, the name would be quite accurate if spelled properly... the vast majority of "discussions" in here devolve into a series of ad hominem attacks in the end...

Its all fine and good for those of us with a background in Philosophy but it may tend to alienate the more casual player.
On second thought, evidence suggests the site is going to pot anyway so why not?

Wow, you know how long its been since I smoked? I thought you were referring to background in Philosophy as "the good stuff", that's how long its been. In my naive state I thought I actually might have discovered a fellow devotee on here. :(
Anyway, I might have some lying around her somewhere but its got to be pretty stale by now. You know what they say though, the older the berry the sweeter the juice.

You keep it lying on your mom or your girlfriend?

And which one of them has gone stale?

Furthermore, is a stale girlfriend a good girlfriend? Would this lead to the good life?

You know your shit sir. Would you like to be in charge of calling out those attacks when you see them? That would be a great help to the community.

thanx

You can fill in the blanks whatever way tickles your pickle, m8. Consider it a gift from me to you. I'm not going to edit because I got too much of a kick out of the folly once you pointed it out.

actually I've never smoked anything in my life  as for philosophy... actually yes, I studied it and logic in college (which is how I knew ad hominem was misspelled) I almost minored in philosophy before I ran out of money (and took it as a sign)

facetious or not my answer is NO THANK YOU. that would require me to READ everything in here... I try not to do that as I cherish what little of my sanity is left

This new name is OK. I thought the last one: "Where the Wild Things Are", was one of the better ones. We had two good ones in a row as "Atmospheric Noise" was pretty creative. Is there a list of all the names this forum has had? There have been about 20 since I've been here, some better than others.

Whatever. I'm just glad that ridiculous former name (which I shall never speak of) is now gone, meaning I'm once allowed to post in OT. Hurray for the end of my ban! Huzzah!
