Offended, more than upset. Perhaps you've not seen someone die of cancer. I hope you never will. Wishing it on another person, regardless of their politics is a deeply nasty thing.
I've seen many people die of cancer, unfortunately. To equate this obvious joke thread with dying of cancer is absurd. You're either easily offended or you're fucking around. I sincerely hope you're fucking around and not equating this thread with actually wishing someone would die of cancer.

Symmetry is terminally ill with cancer, but button A will cure his cancer and all other cancer-related/terminally-ill related ailments.

Button B provides a lifetime of any kind of cake for all the denizens of ConquerClub.

In a heart beat, I would put the smackdown on Button B. A few of us may feel a little guilty, but after Symmetry is dead and gone, they can definitely eat their cake guilt-free. NEVERTHELESS!!!, I'm willing to wait about 10 seconds while you scream, "A!!!" or "B!!!"
Apart from the thread title, there's the OP, where you argue for my death.
Still not seeing that quote of mine where I advocate for your death.

Ah-ha! This IS one of your grand moments where you fit your own assumptions into other people's posts. That pretense of knowledge is intellectually killing you, Sym.

So, tease out this alleged argument where I argue for your death. Use your imagination to its fullest extent. Then I'll likely copy-paste what I've already posted which already explains why you're wrong. This will be fun!

From what I've gathered from quotings, it does seem to be a pretty assinine thread origination.
I don't disagree. I'm wondering why Symmetry even bothered to post. Why not just ignore it?
If someone made a thread calling for your death, would you ignore it? Or would you make an attempt to argue?
I suppose it depends. I'm not sure making an attempt to argue is the right phraseology. What is there to argue about? You're not really making much of an argument about anything.
So what does it depend on?

Well, with a lifetime supply of any kind of cake, then surely you could trade some cakes for fermented haggis!

Hey, would we have 'taken the cake' if there were 5 poll options, with "B!!!" in the middle?

I certainly would not pop in and complain.

I'm not telling you what to do and the thread is in poor taste, but your reaction is absurd.

Given the acidic climate of this fora,
It's understandable why someone would be angry when a person who they disagree with "jokes" about how they must die so everyone can have cake. An intelligent person might make a connection between "cake" the slang and the death of the particular user, Sym. "Cake" is slang for something that unites people, usually it means a dessert or food, but it can mean anything that everyone wants.

i.e. Sym must die because it's something that we all want. Don't care about him, there's no reward in that.

bullshit thread, lock it

Juan, you are missing the point that Symmetry gets into the victim/passive-agressive role for pretty much for EVERYTHING:

I've attempted most of your solutions with BBS. Rather than this being an isolated example, it's more of a culmination.

A rather nasty culmination.

Sym, don't you know pure, unadulterated baiting when you see it??? Come on man!
You should have posted saying that if someone had to choose between a lifetime supply of cake and a lifetime supply of symmetry(as the title could be read this way as well) they would have to choose cake because no-one could handle a lifetime supply of symmetry for they would explode from the overwhelming ravishing of it... etc., etc..
Instead you come in here with your fleshy underbelly exposed. Tsk.

I like my fleshy underbelly. I dislike bullies.

Oddly enough bullies seem to target my fleshy underbelly, while having a strange attraction to me.

You can like your fleshy underparts, that doesn't mean you have to expose them...

I don't see how erroneously portraying yourself as the victim while you've acted like an asshole to me and others really helps your Christian Crusade.

Can I call it a Christian Crusade? Maybe if I use it as a metaphor and disregard your views on Christianity then according to your logic I can. (That was a lovely thread about Breivik, wasn't it? Trying to twist out of incorrect positions seems to be your habit, huh Sym?).

Symmetry 2012:
"Always the victim, never the troll. Vote for Theatrics!"

Basically, Sym, if a person acts like an asshole, then he shouldn't be surprised when he's treated like an asshole. It's really simple. Intentionally engaging in logical fallacies, avoiding rational debate while enticing others to debate, and intentionally provoking people to get irritated are not exemplary of the CC gentleman/lady. I don't have an ax to grind with you because you personally do not annoy me; however, when there's injustice in the fora, I'll be there to help the down-trodden.

BBS 2012

Stop crying and get logical.

It's BBS. I doubt he's interested in me in that way.

Edit- I apparently spoke too soon.

Apparently my asshole is of interest and likely a defining feature.

Gentlemen, the choice is clear. Either you get a lifetime supply of any kind of cake, or you'll be subjected to Symmetry's never-ending stories about his asshole.

Unlike Sym, I don't presume to know your preferences and intentions, but choose wisely, gentlemen. Time is of the essence.

That may be true, and there may be a good conversation that can be had about just that. But I also stand by my statement. In this case, isolated or not, Sym is the target of internet bullying. I wouldn't be so arduous but there really isn't a way for Sym to fight back unless he starts a thread of his own. And then it's just retaliation - the bad kind.
