Wonderful post. No wonder I love my clannies x x

I say put the women in charge (Denise/Foxglove/Nicky) coz contrary to popular belief they make the most sense.

omg....

do you not think cdf and friends reps no that sign ups have started ??????

do you not think clans were talking about signups ??????

do you not think it is taking longer than usual for clans to sign up to this event because of how you acted ??????

do you not think there are several clans seriously thinking about not signing up because it is not the option they voted for and won ?????

So why the hell have you sent all clan leaders a pm to try push them into joining up just saying there will be lots of medals not highlighting this will be for the top 3 clans only in this event that a majority of clans know they will not get.

have you not just done what you said was the reason why you said stuff what the majority of clans wanted we are going to do this because clans were trying to sway the vote via pm ?????

i have said i will not sign aka up to this it will be down to raz and if he wants to run this when he gets home so why spam aka leaders with a pm ?????
chemefreak wrote:Clan Leaders:

You are receiving this pm because you are either the listed leader of an active clan, a player that has run a war for your clan recently, or a player that I felt like adding to the list because it seemed odd you weren't one of the former!

After a long, long, long, long process, the CCup 4 has started sign-ups. The sign-up thread can be found HERE.

We (the CDs) know that this has not been the smoothest ride. And we apologize for that. However, we are all in clans for one thing...to fight wars. And that is what we have here. Wars. Oh, and medals. This event has lots of medals too.

Now, if your clan has already signed up...sorry for this pm. If you think somebody else in your clan probably got this pm and will sign you up....you might want to double check...there is a fairly good chance that player has me foed and will not receive this pm ;)

Sign-ups will run through April 19th. Thanks.

Eddie, you have summed up my feelings precisely =D>

I can state now that HH are seriously considering not entering this year, due to the way we feel the views of the majority have been ignored. I will be putting it to a clan vote and we'll see what the outcome is.

rofl i love this post in the sign up thread.

I have to read up I suppose, but I wonder if my clan is interested in being butchered without any chance to draw a reasonable opponent.

You will hear from VDLL.

i wonder how many of the 10 clans signed up read the rules/format.... you forgot to add to the mass spam pm you sent out that you had went with a totally different format to the one that won the votes.......... talk about false info or what.

The women of KoRT (and I'm sure, other clans) would be happy to join with the TOFU ladies and take charge!

Here's a random, crazy idea - perhaps the CDs need to take control of the Newcomer's Cup or the All Comer's Cup as well, and make them official clan tournaments.

That way we can preserve the Conqueror's Cup as the premier tournament in all of it's seeded glory (too much? haha), and we can have the CDs run the other tournaments to meet the needs of clans at every level. If you want to play against the big guns? Join the CCup. If you're a new and/or inexperienced clan, join the official NCC and get some great experience and some wins under your belt. If you're an established casual clan, join the official ACC. If your engines are turned up to 11 and you want to be in all the challenges, all the time - join all 3!

Can we accept that as your application to become a CD and help get all of that arranged :)

i think you misunderstood CDs completely.
this is their philosophy:

i ask them are they ready to any kind of loosen control, and receive 0( zero, null, cero, nul, нуль, zéro, noll, fucking nula ) response. in same time they hurry up with spamming inbox inviting teams to join.
being CD is like a dream job, like they are working in some public institution here in serbia. level of responsibility= non existent, level of control=full with desire to increase. and they intend to keep it that way.

and here was i being fulled that they really want to listen to others and want as much democracy as possible! :( well, they aint fulling me again, although they do sound heartfelt, so be careful!

Maybe it's where we are going wrong, the 4-2 male female split in the cd's, a couple more girls and balance will be restored :)

Sorry, you posted over the weekend (And I did want to take a bit of a break after my dissertation previously :(), so while I did (&do) plan on responding to you (as well as Denise, crispy & others, perhaps eddie not so much ;)) it couldn't be immediate, and right now I've also been busy trying to defend myself from other mods as well so it could still take a while to address everyone's queries :)
There's unfortunately quite a bit clamoring going on, and I do have to carefully consider my responses elsewise they're jumped on as well from all sides, so I admit there may be some ducking-and-diving to avoid the tough questions until I can actually give them due consideration. 8-[

However, to quickly try change tack & address your points while I can since I don't want you to be disheartened again with us as I do acknowledge that you were willing to give us the benefit of the doubt in directing constructive comments at us:
1. I don't want to say that we're past the point of changing the format, but unfortunately the reality is that I don't think any more dithering will be looked kindly upon either. I know we did seriously consider making it 8 seeds instead of 16, and if there is unanimous support for it as a more suitable alternative we can look into it & making other minor adjustments, but I think we may be past the point of being able to completely overhaul the format again.

For the rest, regarding having 3 other bodies be in charge of the process to develop a new solution for the CCup, I'm truly unsure whether it would be feasible anymore.

And then quickly regarding the AoC/Emp debate that has been carrying on. I can only reiterate that we (from my Clans perspective, I haven't been involved in any CD deliberations because of the conflict of interest) were removed from CL5 because of concern regarding the 1 competitive clan rule & the continuity thereafter
However, that is completely separate from the eligibility criteria for CCup4, with the involvement in CDF being implemented earlier with the additions of Atlantis & vvv

all good until you said this???

these events had the same guidelines for sign ups.. even before your starting of new clan the rules where 1 complete challenge and 1 month together as a clan.. and sorry but bullshit if you can honestly say these were not the rules. you clan mods are still trying to treat us as if we are thick.
