When I get home and start up my pc, I always check the local TV guide to see what I can have on in the background while I'm playing CC.

Did this today.....AND WHAT DO I SEE ??

You guys are long time players, so you know a hell of a lot more than I about the way CC has changed over the last few years. But as someone who admittedly does play on a few other similarly geared sites, I absolutely LOVE the way CC is run. The clan system I don't know a lot about but would definitely like to get involved in. (It is intriguing to me anyway.) The impressively creative team of cartographers add a really cool stylistic element to the gaming (and the occasional entertainment when two or more talented creators have some artistic differences and start baring fangs lol.) And the SoC guys are hugely impactful on the game experience for newcomers, who's grade school playing days have lead them to believe this game is basically nothing but lucky dice rolls and initial territory placement.

(Those who wanna learn how to play the game in a cerebral manner, anyway. Not everyone does, which is fine. They're an embarrassment to their families, but hey...so am I, for quite different and actually legitimate reasons!)

I dunno, I probably shouldn't even chime in. I haven't been around even close to long enough to truly know the culture around here. But I LOVE this site. It just has a lot more to offer than some other sites that, frankly, I enjoy quite a bit as well.

Yes, all nice and well. I was at school working on a paper and browsing the web for like 4 hours, after I visited CC I got advertisement for CC on other sites. You don't want to show up for people looking for '"Say yes to the dress'' but targetting people who allready visiting CC might not be the best strategy either...

we advertise to bring them here, then have an ad on our main page for other games to send them elsewhere before they even sign up
