So I found the feedback in the doggy-down thread interesting....reminded me of this video:

So many young today don't appreciate their lot in life (yes I sound like an old fussy grouch....lol). This kid for instance (reminds me of one of my nephews....so sad)....he identifies himself as a "Sovereign Citizen"...you know the kind - they feel they are not bound by our restrictive laws, etc, yet spout incessantly about their "Rights"...lmao....what a fool. Love the ending ;o)

He wasn't being violent in any way, he was just being an asshole.
It may be emotionally satisfying to see and asshole get tazed, but I don't see what reasonable case can possibly be made justifying the use of physical violence to deal with a guy verbally annoying you.
They should have just warned him a couple times that he's get arrested if he doesn't settle down and then non-violently arrest him if he continues. What exactly was the point of the tazer?

Well, that guy was actually directly insulting him, and appeared to have been warned several times, AND this was just 2 citizens interacting on equal footing, not 1 citizen and several police officers/guards.

So, while it's still not justified to escalate to violence, I'd certainly find it much easier to excuse this second one.

I would agree with Haggis that the reaction of the Bailiff seems too sudden (I don't think it's excessive, it just seemed to occur out of nowhere), however, we can't tell from this camera angle or limited clip of video what the man was doing. He probably wasn't waving a knife around but he had identified himself as a Freeman/SC so it's not unrealistic to think he may have been doing something bizarre and threatening since they have a history of blowing up buildings and trying to shoot judges.

Though I do like the reaction of the judge to this Sovereign Citizen in a Manitoba court, where the Judge finally just gets up and leaves in exasperation -

Also, the Bailiff did warn him you can't film in a court ... when a Bailiff arrests someone I don't think he's required to first organize a fair fight in which the person has an equal chance of emerging victorious over the Bailiff.

You can learn a lot from Sovereign Citizens. For instance, if the judge overrules one of your motions, yell "SEIZE HIM! ARREST THE JUDGE!" and get a bunch of your friends to storm the bench and start wrestling the judge (2:00) -
