does anyone play that? how do you like it?
Eve is arguably one of the greatest games every conceived.
However, the result of such an idea is quite the beast.
Basically its one of those situations where the pros and cons are one in the same.
I have a friend who is pretty heavily into it. He sets his alarm for 2am, and again at 5am so he can perform a "corp" operation (not all the time but an example of whats involved).
Id reccommend you try it (and do a lot of research at the same time) as thats the only real way to see if you'd like it; however it is certainly not a game you pick up on a whim. (its the opposite of casual gaming).
That's why things like WoW never really appealed to me...it turns a game into a job. Ugh.

That's cool. So are games like Minecraft, but...
I don't need an extra job.

Haha -- does she normally shop on GOG?

I tried playing Ironman Classic about twenty times and gave up in frustration, but when I started a regular Classic game, everything clicked (I did reload once when my squad got wiped by a combined force of mutons and chryssalids). Once you get carapace armor and laser weapons, the game gets a lot easier, and I just finished the enemy base mission.
The original XCOM remains one of my favorite games of all time, but the remake is shiny.

Weirdly cool game once I figured it out.
