Interseting. So the Claude Presbyterian Church has lied to you and molested your children? Who did they ask you to kill, I'm curious.

I do affirm the Messiah is coming soon & that we will know we are very close by the fulfilled signs, which have already started, but what gives you the indication that the year is 2014? You didn't say the day or the hour, which is a good thing for Matthew 24 declares that no one knows them.
Another very important point, very glad to hear of your new found love for God & that you have been redeemed from the man you once were. That is awesome!
I am interested and I beg the question... which signs?
Israel was at one time a wealthy kingdom, with a glorious heavenly King, God. But Israel rejected God as King over them and requested a man to be king over them (1 Samuel 8:7). The Israelites continued on this wayward trend of moving away from God even though they had King David and King Solomon and several note worthy prophets warning them of coming judgments from God. Until God could not take their evil any longer and He sent the Babylonians to take captive Israel and all her wealth and sovereignty. Well that occurred about 2,500 years ago (Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, etc) and Israel had not been a sovereign kingdom ever since. Until at what seems the 11th hour of Jewish extermination during WWII, Israel is reformed as a nation in 1948.
1. Israel being a nation fulfilled one aspect of the coming Messiah in 1948 (Ezekiel 37:21). For the wording of Christ's return is surrounding the concept of Jacob's (named changed to Israel) tribulation (Jeremiah 30:7).
2. But the 1948 Israel didn't own it's original capital that King David set up when he reigned. So there was a problem, for Christ is to return and set up his kingdom on Jerusalem. Then Egypt struck Israel in 1967 to wipe Israel off the map, but Israel, outgunned and outmanned with divine help pushed back and took control of it's capital Jerusalem. Something that had not existed for 2,500 years was again established in 1967. So this added to evidence that we are near the 2nd coming. (Luke 21:24)
3. In the year 1948, a rare astronomical event occurred. A blood moon eclipse that cast a shadow over the land of Israel. The shadows from eclipses occur around the globe and it's rare to have the moon low on the horizon where the frequency of it's reflective light is slowed by the particulates of the atmosphere and slows the speed of light enough that the color red is perceived. Even rarer that this occurred with an eclipse and with a shadow over Israel. This also happened near the time of Jerusalem being captured by the Israelites in 1967-68. This fulfills the signs in the Heavens of Acts 2:19. http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/wat ... lipse.html
4. Isaiah 43:6 declared that God will cause a massive influx of Jews to move into the promise land. This has been ongoing.
5. Temple will be rebuilt. This has not happened yet. And seems to be hard because there is a Muslim mosque on the site. But the Muslim Mosque was built on what was King Solomon's outer court. This seems like splitting hairs until one reads Revelation 11:2. This is regarding the rebuilding of King Solomon's temple, but God specifically instructs to not measure the outer court. Why? the outer court has been given over to the gentiles. And Muslims are gentiles. So this verse written 1,500 years before the Muslim Mosque was built, already had this problem solved. Wow God is amazing.
6. Knowledge will increase. This seems to broad to consider, but Daniel 12:4 was instructed that his vision was for a distant future when knowledge increases. Today there has been an exponential increase in knowledge as compared to the rate knowledge increased for the first 4,900 years.
7. To and fro. This also seems minor to consider, but Daniel 12:4 says that his vision was for a distant future where people go to and fro. There seems an exponential increase in people going to and fro in the last 100 years as compared to the previous 4,900 years.
8. Destructive ability. Mankind has just recently in the last 70 years discovered atomic weaponry. 1 Peter 3:10 & 12 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up... Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?....." No one has been able to understand this verse for almost 2,000 years until mankind has discovered the ability to dissolve elements with fervent heat of atomic weapons. This very well could indicate how God does this, for He used Babylon to carry out His judgment on Israel the first time, why not use the same Babylonian system to judge again.
9. Unifying of nations against Israel. Revelation 13:3
10. Unifying of world religions. Revelation 13:8.... There is little tolerance for the Bible's claim of it's right and all others wrong. The push today is everyone do your religion or no religion well and we'll all see each other in heaven.
11. Falling away from God. To me this is personified in Evolution. 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-7
12. Gospel being preached in all the world.
13. In Revelation 11 there are two witnesses for God that are killed in public and all the world sees this. 25 years ago, this wasn't probably, today, this is certainly able to be done.
14. Numerology: God spent 6 days creating for mankind, then rested. God spent 6 hours on the cross to save mankind, then rested. God's word says that there will be a 1,000 years of rest after the judgment in Revelation. Since God's word indicates that we are approaching the 6th 1,000 years of existence on earth, that means God sustained His Creation for 6,000 years then rested the 7th 1,000 years.
The Revelation seals, trumpets and bowls/plagues are also set in the same manner: 6 seals of action, the 7th seal just opens up the 7 trumpets. The 6 trumpets of action, the 7th trumpet opens up the 7 bowls/plagues. The 6 bowls/plaques of action, then the 7th bowl is the actual return of God to Jerusalem.
15. Moscow will come down against Israel. This is yet to be fulfilled literally. Figuratively it's been fulfilled with Moscow support of Muslim nations around Israel. But to me this is not enough, I think this will be fulfilled literally. Ezekiel 38:2-6 tells of God bringing Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tuba and Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops ā the many nations with you.ā... This is wordy, but Gog and Magog and Meshech are ancient names of Moscow and surrounding regions. Moscow is due north of Jerusalem. and Moscow is an ally of the Muslims and supports them financially, militarily and socially. So when Israel scuffles against the Muslim nations, you bet Russia will come down to save her little hens. this may be the hook that brings Moscow down.
16. Revived Roman Empire. Many secular and theologians agree this is fulfilled with the European Nations being formed. Which encompasses similar land mass as Rome.
17. Euphrates river dries up. Revelation 16:12. Turkey were the origin of the Euphrates river come from with the melting snow of the mountains, has built damns on every tributary to forms into the euphrates river. They are trying to charge a water tax to lower countries. So stopping the water is already a plausible thing.
18. When the Euphrates river dries up, a 200 million man army marches from the far east to Israel. Revelation 9 speaks of an army of 200 million marching over a dry Euphrates river from the far east. mankind couldn't fathom an army that large, until China (far east of Jerusalem) boasted such an army in 1987. So this seems to fit.
19. Israel is prospering as a nation. Isaiah 35:1-2 seems to fit this for the end times. Currently Israel has water bubbling out of the ground. The Arab nations have oil and Israel is sitting on a reservoir of water that is larger than their oil fields.
But every generation from the time of Babylonian captivity till today has been anticipating God to come and set up His kingdom and rule with a rod of iron vanquishing evil. That's why 2 Thessolonians 3:10-13 let's us know that believers in God will be persecuted for God's supposed delay of His coming. I believe that nothing additional needs to occur for the catching away of the saints to God and we are very near to God's second coming. Very exciting time to live.

People in the past didn't live like Kings with their rocket stoves and tiny farms. If you scorn trade (by supporting greater self-sufficiency), then you scorn all those possibilities toward prosperity. It's not beneficial to promote a life of subsistence, and all of your ideas rely on freer markets in order to be more efficiently implemented.
Permaculture is great if the prices of electricity and water justify it, but what works for you may not work for everyone. Value and the cost of opportunities foregone are subjective, so there's more to the price of permaculture. You can't use certain products, and you can't use certain capital; therefore, the costs of permaculture can be greater than once imagined. It's not as efficient as imagined.
However, the market for permaculture depends on the prices (and the production) of electricity, water, sewage, and garbage disposal, all of which are heavily controlled--sometimes, monopolized by government(s), no it's surprise that the market for permaculture hardly takes off. I see permaculture as a solution for many 'public goods' problems that are touted in defense of government monopolization and control, so I agree with you there. Same with the hemp houses.
But again, for those goals to be realized, you'd need freer markets. Hopefully, you're comfortable with that.

No, not like kings, like emperors.

I don't scorn trade, I scorn wasted effort. God has provided us with all we need, we just haven't fully recognized it. Why spend so much effort going against nature to turn a buck, when we can work with it and do away with the buck? Doesn't mean there won't be a surplus or a way to deliver it.
Will the government try to prevent people from independence? They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. The need for a government is a mirage as is the need for money, but a little oasis will clear things up.

The bible is supposed to be about spirituality and metaphores, very scary to see how far the catholic integrism can go in the americas.
Catholics teach that the world is 13.7 billion years old (they are evolutionists by doctrine), so your point is sort of void.
hahaha3hahaha wrote:betiko wrote: My point being that many americans believe word for word what is written in the bible and think that a few quotes from that book proves something.
What do they attempt to prove, using Scripture, that you disagree with in particular?
_sabotage_ wrote:Ask your monkey man to forgive me, but until need is eliminated from the equation, there will never be such a thing as a free market.
Secondly, as long as one set of people cannot fulfill their needs without another set, there will always be dependence. Once need is eliminated, will we be truly independent. We were not created masters of the known universe with all of its resources at its disposal to fulfill the desires of a few. We will be judged by the least among us. When you explain your theories of economics with its embedded economic disparity, starvation, war profiteering, the monopolization of resources and heavy dependent chains placed on existence, you may regret not preparing for the inquiry better.
You suggest that free markets will solve all ills, but it does not intend to solve those ills as it is busy profiting off them.
The chance of life is quite slim. The chance of any specific life is even slimmer. The resources of this planet were not created by man, so why may he own them and partition them? Why is one man's work enough to earn him the land of 50 men or fifty thousand? We are born naked and will leave empty handed but if to hurt each other for more toys in between, is that a bet to make with your soul? The chance of you getting that soul was after all pretty slim.
_sabotage_ wrote:Science is in the continual act of proving itself wrong. We should seek the truth by any means necessary, but also recognize the limits on the data we have acquired. Our limits are both self imposed and through lack of tools. We have enough data to answer a key question, should we be here? The simple answer is no. How come we are here then?
What force caused the initial matter to rip itself apart and become our universe? In answering this question, we can say this force or that, but this neither adds to or takes away from God. If we call that force God, it is so, but atheists may give it another name and it doesn't change what it is. It is the force which sent matter throughout the emptiness in such a way as to create life for us. Saying that this was an accident is like saying that a one in 10^9000000 chance is the obvious answer instead of going with the info that makes it a 1 in 1 chance. Science backs up this slimmest of chances by suggesting there may be multiple universes just appearing all the time and as such the chance they suggest becomes almost possible. It would appear that science isn't following either probability or evidence in their assumption. And therefore it is not science.
On the other hand, suggesting that force which gave birth to the universe and us is God, is neither avoiding our spiritual understanding of God or our physical understanding of the universe. The chance of life hits 100%. You of course are free to ignore this, but I don't think it would be very scientific of you.

No quoting the bits advocating killing fornicators(unless they are gay, as any quotes that hate on gays are used often), slavery, lying with your female slave, stoning folks for working on the Sabbath, not being allowed to wear cloth made from two or more substances, and the list of lunacy could to on. Bible quotes are like statistics, only used if someone thinks will further their view.
