there are more games not listed that finished before January 1st but I figured this list was a good start.

Comments: the player begin deadbeating games around December 26th driving his score down before January 1st. the player appears to have come back and started playing games around January 4th. He is now first on the list of most improved player for the month of January but his accomplishment is blemished by the fact that he lost a lot of points at the end of December due to the deadbeating. He may very well have been the leader without artificially lowering score but this sets a precedent that you can deadbeat games and be rewarded.

He just missed 2 turns in a row in several games in an autotournament. But he was not logged in during this time at all. And he returned to play 3rd time. He could just be a casual player that goes offline for days at a time. And although annoying, it is not cheating.

He may be a casual player and go off line and deadbeat out of games but he did it at the end of the month and lost points. Then he won "most improved player" the next month. If this is ok, then there is a precedent to go off line and deadbeat lots of games to point dump and then come back the next month and win the most improved contest.

Yes, he does seem to be picking and choosing which games he plays. He joined 4/5 of the terminator games I set up at the same time for the January challenge. They have the same settings and have been progressing at about the same rate. I was starting to wonder about him point dumping as well since he started missing a lot (but not all) of his turns at the end of January/beginning of February and he's keeping several of these games from ending in time for the challenge medal.

He has missed at least one turn in most of the games. He was just kicked out of Game 13815817 for missing too many turns.

I'm involved in a similar game involving Kyaljs: Game 13951008

Even more frustrating is he missed 2 turns, then dropped 14 and is likely to win the game...but alas.

I noticed he dropped ~ 4 ranks since that game above started.

After hitting somewhere around 2300 at the end of January, his score is now 1392. I have not checked to see if he also slow played his losses and fast played his wins or if he is just on a horrible losing streak. He was on top of the score board for most improved player in January though

Kyaljs is cleared of point dumping.

He has explained the situation to us, and it seemed legitimate. I will not explain it, but we have contacted him, looked into what he said, and we agree with his story.

I don't know what excuse he gave, but this is weird here for me. I understand that you can pick and choose, but when you have internet access its usually more than enough to take turns in multiple games, and if hes missing in one, but playing in another the take me to next playable game link always works to avoid issues. And if he has too many games, he is still responsible for joining and finishing them to the best of his ability. Also he should roughly know how long games usually last and plan around things like weekends and holidays (because they are static and cannot be considered unavoidable factors.) Also this example above also would disprove holidays and weekends IMO. Like i said if Im taking turns on CC i usually have a 10-20 minute block minimum. Usually 30 min to avoid problems. Taking turns in 4 games is roughly between 5-10 depending on internet speed. And if your internet is bad enough that it takes 5-10 for one game then that should limit the amount of games you join anyways.

I'm not looking to start an argument here but stooping to insults is low DCR. We disagree with the decision. The abuse is obvious, unless he magically gets busy in time to win the leaderboard every other month, which seems to be the intention.

I was only looking for an explanation. For above reasons, along the lines of missing games because you were on holiday, and didn't plan for it is unacceptable. Also seeing the recent amount of abuse with the Scoreboards, and the hassle its brought the C&A Team, it might be better to just get rid of it for the most part to prevent further abuse, resulting directly from it. I hoped when you said you had an "verification" that it was true and not just from the player. Also I would like to point out that when you miss those turns you miss all of them, not taking one and leaving the other. And if you have to leave them for later, then you take the most pressing turns. However nothing here is going to change in this case so Caffiene lets stop beating our head against the brick wall here.
