I'm not a huge fan of this horse game, because it basically means the least active will be unhorsed. I prefer the current version to how it was previously though. A basically free day kill, with no downsides? Yeah, I couldn't see scum abusing that at all.
FOS on Jak. Major OMGUS vote, and voting no lynch. Neither a very good reasons to keep you around Jak. Who does everyone prefer to be That's my Horse'd before the end of the day?
Jmac1026 wrote:I will vote
no lynch. We're already losing one player who is giving some pretty townie vibes off to me, no reason to lynch Jak currently. Maybe if we get some information from the night, we can take another look at him tomorrow.

I do so like being cleared of things. FINALLY MY INACTIVITY PAYS OFF.

Jmac1026 wrote:Guys, Jak is the most important player in every game ever, and he always does all the work. Why doesn't anyone but Jak do anything in these games ever?
Here's the facts:
You're a claimed JOAT, so you have multiple abilities.
One of these is a killing ability, which you chose to use on Zivel.
You're stated reasons for using your kill on NIGHT ONE were that he "acted scummy" and he "wanted people to flip for more reads," and you were "delivering what he asked for."
Why shouldn't we lynch you jak? I mean, what have you legitimately done for town? Killed a townie? Yeah, that helps bunches. You shot on night 1, a vig tactic that's universally despised, especially since there are three other actions that could have helped town. At this point you're practically a policy lynch, in my books. I fail to see any reason to not lynch you before the end of the day.
Vote jak111.
Jmac1026 wrote:jak111 wrote:If Zivel popped mafia, it'd be a whole other story of everyone's "opinion" on me shooting N1.
IF he had flipped mafia, and you claimed the kill, then you'd be under just as much scrutiny as you are now. People would question whether:
A) You aren't scum trying to claim a kill to prove you're town, and
B) How the hell you managed to choose mafia on the first night.
Its purely speculation as to what "may" have happened had Zivel turned up mafia, but he didn't, so its useless.
Jmac1026 wrote:Nebuchadnezer wrote:I like Strike Wolf's theories on the Clock. I think we wait to see if the Clock strikes again or not. It may have been a 1-shot ability.
Kinda WIFOM-y, but I don't know why anyone would waste the clock on the first day/night period if it were only 1-shot. I could imagine a good way to balance it would be that it had a recharge period, i.e. use D1, recharges D2, etc. Makes things a little more balanced, although still seems like it would be a way overpowered ability. Not that this game has any real guarantee of balance.
Anarkist is alive and posting so far today.
Fp'd by Doomyoshi. I can partially agree with you on that Doom, except that Jak (whatever his alleged justifications) basically put out a shot in the dark last night. He chose a guy that he felt was scummy. No other reasoning, no big slips by Zivel, no general discussion with others on who they would lynch given the chance. Just bam, random target. We get no information from that. Every kill directed by town should have a reasoning behind it. Especially in a game with no Vanilla roles, where there are random alignments. We could have used that kill later on in the game. Now he's going to be wagoned and lynched before the day is out, unless something dramatic happens, and if he is actually town, we are now down one kill action.
Jmac1026 wrote:Edocsil, that's my horse.
Major FOS on Betiko. He doesn't even have the decency to say that he had been keeping up. He's been active on the other parts of the site, but conveniently missed this one?
Fp'd by Hotshot.
Jmac1026 wrote:Iron Butterfly, that's my horse.
Not only is Jak acting scummy, but he's being belligerent about it. Not even a "whoops, sorry for hitting town guyz, lol!" Telling town that he won't let us "direct" his actions, as if we're in the habit of playing this game for him. The way he's been acting helps no one except himself, and that's where he's been scummy. Town should help each other, and he's done nothing for anyone.
In my opinion, if you're town then getting you out of the game now will only help us later on down the road. We won't have to deal with a wildcard like you. If you're scum, then we bag a scum. Its a win-win. This "case" on Betiko is nothing but lynch-the-inactive, and probably an excellent opportunity for mafia to draw a number of votes away from jak. I'm not saying I'm against pressuring Betiko, just that I'd put him second behind jak.

Assuming aage got his action in.
once the cult leader is dead, aren't the converts switching back to normal? If not, on night 2 if aage sent in his new night target to PCM, wouldn't we have 2 converts even if aage died that same night?
Depends on the mod. Sometimes they convert back. Sometimes they stay as a sort of third party who win with a majority. From the flavor, it seems like the latter. It could be either one or two converts out there.
Jmac1026 wrote:Anarkhist has posted recently.
I'm not a huge proponent of trying to hunt for the horse player (if there is one). How would we go about that exactly? Will the horse player kindly raise his or her hand? Short of a flavor cop getting very lucky on these freaking short nights, that seems like a dead end.
If whatsausage is indeed scum, we should lynch him and take his horse. Then we get the good fortune to test Betiko's ability and take care of scum. Alternatively, just a lynch of Betiko would work.
In fact,
Vote Betiko.

Jmac1026 wrote:You guys ever watch South Park?

Jmac1026 wrote:Damn. So we're gonna have a few shortened days and nights now? I think that's what PCM is saying?
Yeah I know it seems like more when you stack it up but this is 16 posts since the start of day 1. It's 15 posts (almost half of them coming from day 2 when he was one of the horse racers) not including today's posts, 2 more were last night and one of them is a quick joke vote. So that's 12 posts of substance over 3 days? Well not quite out of those twelve posts one is a quick observation about the horse game and one merely addresses that cult converts sometimes not going back to town. So that makes 10 posts in 3 days where he discusses cases.
2. For the most part easy cases.
Day 1: He's admittedly inactive. Foses Jak, doesn't vote. Not much added to the case most of it was regurgitated and says he doesn't like the horse game. The Jak FOS shows little thought of his own and stating he doesn't like the horse game is an easy statement.
Day 1 Run off: Last one to vote no lynch which was already the most popular vote. Easy bandwagon vote.
Day 2: Votes Jak. I'll give more credit here because the first post he makes on this is his most substantive to date in the game. States a couple posts on the Jak matter, one on the clock theory and then the rest of the day mostly just shifting the horse around. FOSes Betiko while there is already a major push. An easy FOS.
Day 3: Explains something about Cult. Easy to do without putting him with or against anyone and votes Betiko which again struck me as a very easy vote for the day as he had been the second biggest case the day before and still a topic of discussion.
So all in all. I don't seem much unique contribution from him. The Jak case was his most significant addition to the game and even that was a reasonably easy case to jump on considering its popularity day 1.
3. Contradicts himself:
from day 1 excerpts from his third post and his fourth post (2 days later):
FOS on Jak. Major OMGUS vote, and voting no lynch. Neither a very good reasons to keep you around Jak. Who does everyone prefer to be That's my Horse'd before the end of the day?
I will vote no lynch. We're already losing one player who is giving some pretty townie vibes off to me, no reason to lynch Jak currently. Maybe if we get some information from the night, we can take another look at him tomorrow.
So kind of a turn around from finding voting no lynch scummy to voting it yourself on a bandwagon.
Then from day 2:
Major FOS on Betiko. He doesn't even have the decency to say that he had been keeping up. He's been active on the other parts of the site, but conveniently missed this one?
This "case" on Betiko is nothing but lynch-the-inactive, and probably an excellent opportunity for mafia to draw a number of votes away from jak. I'm not saying I'm against pressuring Betiko, just that I'd put him second behind jak.
Alright so not a complete turn around from his initial statements but he does seem much more interested in the Betiko issue in the first one than the second one. Considering that the Betiko wagon was the second strongest one at the time, it would not surprise me if he was setting himself up to jump wagons if and when the chance presented itself.
