Secondly, you don't think the foreign legion is a great idea seriously? (by the way at least 20% of the foreign legion are french people before entering). Basically we get thugs from around the world, we erase their identity and give them some fake new french name and passport we have 100% control on all they own and what they are paid for about 15 years and we send them in first in conflict zones. Sounds a bit smarter than getting 10% of your population killed and a good way to get thugs out of the streets or prisons. I'd rather see these guys die first.

The Chinese ones are just called Special Forces (特种部队), no funky name. Similar to how the elite armed response police units are just called Special Police (特警). I believe the Japanese special forces operate under the slightly spicier name 'Imperial Elite Baby Rapers'.

So basically, some touaregs with al quaeda started attacking cities and villages in north mali, raping, pillaging, creating an islamic state with the chariah and the malian Government was overwhelmed and called france for help. Something similar right now in centrafrican republic. So are you going to blame us for giving a hand? We have lots of Malians/Malian descendants in France. I can tell you they were very worried regarding the situation in their country and they sure apreciated the help.

And well... somene like Goran did have to face war on his territory, so I guess that's what makes this difference in mentality. 2 generations straigh without war here, so it feels like it's something that will never happen again. We became friends and economical partners between former ennemies that had been fighting each other for centuries thanks to the EU. people worshipping military forces are weirdos for us here. People fought to stop the military service. Hopefully it ended in 1996, I was too young to do it.

What are you talking about? Macedonia never took part in Yugoslavian conflicts . As part of our negotiations for our independence we gave most of the the weapons that was stationed in my country to Yugoslav National Army.

We were under soviet influence? Yea rite... Soviets had 70 unsuccessful assassination attacks on Tito and we were never aligned with Soviet Union, nor the West.
