foggy games first move?

Hi -- there's a convention observed by most players here that when you join a foggy game and go first, you allow the other player to take a snapshot before you take your first move, or alternatively tell them what they would have seen.

is this true? never heard of such a thing?

yeah... you can find multiple threads about it all over the site... no rule says you have to do it, fog freaks will moan about it the entire game if they don't get a snap... just say you don't use them and tell them to get bent...-Jésus noir

This was a speed game and he'd just seen my third move before making the comment. No GL or anything and then starts whining about sportsmanship. It's nonsense, he was only complaining because he was losing.

I never understand why players say ''foed,'' what is that? Nooo not that, plzzzz!
You might want to post a note on his wall, explaining to him how to foe a player for reals.

that is not the way it is done. the way it is done, is be a man, or a woman, which im assuming the latter is the case, and play the damn game. house rules? intentionally deadbeating doesnt sound like house rules. there are no such rules i have gathered that you must give someone ample time to look at a map. it is supermax prison. one of the most transparent boards of all due to middle of the map, and other areas...
