Maybe they are locked in a little room coming up with well needed site innovations like novelty sound effects for deploy, attack, fort, etc. I just wish I had access to experimental drugs of the strength being consumed by some around here.

As I said in an earlier post I've raised this in the Mod's forum. bigWham is the only person who can answer this and he's travelling at the moment. Please be patient you will get an answer.

you didn't mention he was travelling....... Previous posts and other threads have drawn attention to the fact that mods don't really have a say. Hence the call for someone with authorization to make decisions to sort this shit, or explain why they are deliberately trying to ruin this business. Look forward to a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT from him on this naked rort/stupid marketing decision.

Coz I didn't know that when I made my first post.

I've got a lot of sympathy for Big Wham on this. I work for a much bigger company that has been selling one of its key brands on a credit basis for ten years, and we have only just figured out how to line up credit pack sizes and costs in a simple rational way. In a small business with so many decisions to make I think BW probably just made what would have seemed a small error in setting up credit packs, without knowing how deeply a small but important group of customers would feel about it. Again, in a small business it's difficult to row back over decisions like this and make changes - that takes time and resource away from new initiatives. The one thing we do know about BW is he is innovating on behalf of his customers all the time, so I think it's worth giving the guy a bit of slack. I Would like to see the change RJ wants though!

Would it be possible to know when BW will return giving us some kind of timeline?

<cough> bullshit. You won't know for a week when the person who owns the site will be coming back? Someone owns a website and doesn't have access to the net on holidays? Can't pick up the phone to tell the help when he is coming back?

Just say when he is coming back

Part of my online persona keefie. Generally find that on this site being polite doesn't garnish any results. Embarrass someone in authority or pseudo authority, and they might get off their backside and quit being apathetic.

I note you don't have an issue with the content of what I'm saying, just my matter of delivery.

Thank you keefie for contributing here, could you find the elusive BW? Do what BB is unable to? Solve the puzzle, become a super sleuth!

Wow, went to Control Panel. Then looked up subscriptions and nothing there. So how do I know when my subscription runs out. Also I don't want to renew, the credit card I used is not mine for my last subscription. Surely they can't renew this without authorization??

Edit: was able to view through the store and check my account, doesn't seem they will be able too! This must be something new

Control Panel subscriptions are when you subscribe to things like forum threads.
For information about your premium , go to Store, then the Account tab.
I assume, and maybe this is a big assumption, that unless you have gone in to the new Store and bought the recurring subscription, your premium will not be automatically renewed just because you had it before.

All that said, I agree with BG that it is a big problem if people are subscribing and it is not obvious to them without clicking on a 'more info' button that they are getting a subscription and not a 1 year membership, because that is a big change from how things worked in the past, and no one should be taken by surprise when they auto-renew. It needs to be made more clear.

Or maybe he did.

Just to be clear... I'm 99% sure that just because you bought premium before you are not auto-renewed going forward.. it is only if you've bought the premium subscription item from the new store that you are subscribed. People with old accounts should not be worried.

Yes I did know (I clicked on the ?). It also specified "annual" as opposed to a specific "12 month" on the redeem tab.

You can still buy 12 month non-reoccurring premium by redeeming credits, but it costs 3500 credits instead of $29.99 for reoccurring. Same as the gift membership prices.

Ice,
Is there a way to make it not auto-renew for those of us who have recently purchased premium, but do not want to continue purchasing premium indefinitely?

I believe you do that through the store as well.

I don't have subscription so I can't tell exactly but my best guess is left menu store tab then near the top accounts?

okay let me see if i am understanding this correctly because threads are popping up all over the place about various membership
RIP OFFS!!!!!!

if you gift a membership it cost $39.00

if i buy a membership for yourself the only way you get a $29.00 price is if i go onto auto renew wow this really sucks

if i just buy a membership for myself i have to buy credits and it will cost the same as a gift membership for $39.00

wow this site is really working hard on how to SCREW its members!!!!

keep up the good work soon we will all be paying ungodly amounts to play this silly game and soon this site will be a ghost town because if it wast declining before it sure will be declining with the way its going now!!!!

your merging skills need to be tempered by some quality judging/reading comprehension practise.

Mets, thank you so much for taking time out from banging your single issue drum. If your reading skills were on par with your faux outrage acting skills, you wouldn't have posted the dribble above.
I don't give two shakes of a diseased rhythm stick what BW does with his personal life. Never asked about that, don't want to know. Do want to know when he is getting back, as he appears to be the only person able/authorized to clarify this muddy mess. Back to your tub thumping kiddo.
