All roles out. Game starts tomorrow, promptly at noon(ish) and will use an accelerated start. Hoping for a post every 2 or 3 days, prods go out on day 4, start looking for replacements for day 6.
I remember where it started. I was a young urchin hiding out in a gambler's den. The old man came in, and soon the fat merchant was screaming "It burns, It burns!" The granola card which he had slipped up his sleeve had turned to hot granola.
Watching the old man play, I became obsessed with the game. Rather than randomly throwing cards, he would apply the rules with pinpoint precision. I followed him out of there, and he agreed to teach me the basics of the game.
It's been a long way to the top of the Double Fanucci world circuit. I keep thinking if I had to undertrump on those mutonated fromps last game or if a simple single 7 of mazes didn't save me 2 games ago, I could be in a very different position.
-Elias, Multiverse Champion of Double Fanucci
This was the first recorded note about the "old man" known as Ryers and his spell to animate the cards. Somebody, or something, has learned this spell and animated the whole deck. Every card in this trophy room was played to win a famous match in Elias' history. A few of you are waiting for your summoner to return. Before that happens, you must "remove the fat of the deck". The rest of you, suspecting something isn't right (a fair assessment considering you were inanimate a few moments ago) must find someone to blame!
