This can be fixed by making the clan not your default usergroup. The option is out there somewhere in the billions of other options.

it probly happens because you joined the wrong clan...

basically the admin of the usergroup can decide to change your avatar to the default usergroup avatar... you can put your old avatar back and ask your clan admin not to do it again.
