Conquer Club, you vexing vice,
Random my butt, you rolls of the dice.
Loving the expectation, waiting for my turn,
Envisioning another adversary burn.
Hating to see when things go south,
knowing in chat to watch my mouth.
The maps, settings, and choices galore,
choose wisely in order to increase your score.
It’s an uphill battle, to the Conqueror rank,
so pace yourself and be sure to thank
the Conquer Club gods through your sacrifice,
then you may get some favorable dice.
It’s thankless, pointless, and a waste of time,
but that won’t stop you from spending your dime.
So take your binary armies to task,
attack that superior army and raise your flask.
Toast the ones that fall, the lame,
and cheer out loud when you win the game.
Because Conquer Club like love and war,
is on your mind, in your blood, evermore.
Conquer club is the place to be,
For games of skill and strategy.
Plan your moves, roll the dice
And hope the conquer gods are nice.
If you like quick games then speed is for you,
With 5 minute turns, even 3 or 2.
If u need longer 24hr turns is the way,
Plenty of time to plan out your play.
With lots of settings like zombie or flat,
Or foggy or trench if you're in to that.
There are tournaments galore to test your skill
With prizes and medals for more of a thrill.
There are forums to read, mafia games for fun,
2 chat rooms if u want to talk to someone.
Thats it for me I have turns to play,
Conquer club is awesome what more can I say.
Desolation, isolation, perspiration .....
All alone and bathed in sweat, I am watching my screen
Once I was a Brigadier, now just a has-been
The Gods of Dice have shook me up and caused me loads of grief
And then a cook comes along and takes me like a thief
A sergeant then a cook, my life is full of woe
Another invitation - I really can't say no
Another game, another go, another pointless fight
Another roll, another loss, I play into the night
And as the sands of time run past, I make a vow out loud
To stand up tall and soak it in, to make myself so proud.
And off I go, click by click, and climb that hill so steep
And slowly rise back to the top, my rank I aim to keep
My goal is now to conquer, those that feel the same

Ode to the Dice Gods
It’s time to fight,
To flex your might
You scan the list of possible foes
Some are pros, others, average Joes
But you can tell by the rank
Who has the most points to bank
Pick a time and place, any map you like
And prepare for your first strike
With cannon thunder the war starts
Take aim at your enemy’s hearts
In the first stages
The battle rages
Survival requires large swaths of land
A place to draw your line in the sand
So pick a spot in the corner with few borders
Easy to defend, easy to send out attack orders
You roll across bloody fields,
Oh, the power this army yields!
The weak are easily cast aside
“Good Game” you think in snide
And then only the strong remain
Each with a considerable domain
You grind your army to a halt
It’s time to see who’s worth their salt
Far away someone goes for the kill
While you use the Fog to hide your skill
In secret, you move about
The win is yours without a doubt
Finally, it gets down to one on one
And with a turn of the cards it is done
One by one they fell and you feel like you fought well
But it was the dice gods who decided heaven and hell

Before the time of Drones,
When stone towers towered up high,
The battlefield littered with blood and bone,
Dragons blew fire from the sky,
Our word, our bond, hints to our soul,
Scared knights hide behind wooden stockades,
We fight not for glory and gold,
Because this is the Battle for Baltic Crusades!!!!!
They shall not grow old while waiting to play
or their memories become cold when the Great War ends.
The new arrivals will learn the error of their ways
And the clans and teams will fight on.
We will raise our glasses to them victorious.
Still wearing our medals hard fought and well earned
standing together shoulder to shoulder.

A couple of really excellent entries, made more impressive by the fact that neither was by a person who speaks English as their first language. It is close, but in a photo finish, I'm giving first place to dakky21 based on the excellent use of graphics in addition to the voiceover.

Great piece of poetry! Never knew it before, but after reading it first time, just had to participate!
Might have got more had you said to just do an audio recording.
