The design and the choice of receipt are not disconnected. For example, in the recent game that TFO ran, I was an inventor and almost created a gun that would backfire when used, just like you described, though I ended up going with something else. Consequently, if I had received it, even if I were scum, I would have been careful about using it for a kill. So if you are making the gift without keeping in mind who is getting it and how they will receive it, this is the type of mistake that can happen. The correct way to play inventor is to decide on a goal and then create a gift that helps achieve it. Don't decide on a gift and then try to find a goal that matches it.

I was mentioning players that I thought were more likely to be anti-town than PLAYER57832. Right now, I'd prefer that Ragian die first, and I would reevaluate depending on what was shown. I figured you already knew that, so I didn't think I needed to repeat myself there. Since I think Aladdin is scum, I'm not sure that he's telling the truth about his role anyway. Also, I don't know that the question of Marashu's current role and alignment has been definitively settled at this point.

Now that I've answered your question, maybe you could tell me, if Aladdin is town, and a cop enabler, why are you more likely to kill him than mafia?
