@pt, how do you know isis did not recruit last night?

if you did rb hotshot then it is more likely he is nato killer which would explain why nato did not get a kill last night.

I can confirm I got a PM saying I was roleblocked last night, and I doubt a scum roleblocker would come out with a claim like that, so I believe ptlowe is town (although misguided on this vote).

My reading of the scene indicates there was one or more recruits last night, which probably includes ISIS.

Okay let's do this team.

Very difficult to read a person who's having real life issues and isn't available much, so if we have an investigator.. I ask you to investigate IB.
As for your post IB: When you get a chance re-read the description of the first night and subsequent discussions. You will know that the kill was a NATO kill. The real question is why mitch didn't kill anyone N1... did a doctor save his target?

The bad NATO kill caused someone to join ISIS. If we assume their recruiter recruited twice that's 3 ISIS + mitch = 4 (minimum).
If we assume Hotshot is their recruiter and he was roleblocked, then we have 3 minimum ISIS which means 2 remaininig, one of which is Hotshot.
Also, it is possible that: 1) NATO vig got roleblocked (Hotshot.. or 2+ roleblockers) 2) NATO vig didn't want to screw up again and didn't target anyone or 3) NATO vig's target was saved by a doctor.

I don't know why tala played like he did D2... It doesn't seem like town behavior. Then again, mandy played very strangely and in the end flipped town. This game just creates confusion and confusion leads to weird plays. Tala: I hope you can see our perspective (That the way you played doesn't help town at all and therefore it's suspicious) and maybe explain your behavior. Either way, I will be keeping a close eye on you today.

Without additional info on IB my potential targets today are (in no particular order): hotshot, TWR, Talapus, Ragian (slightly less active than usual or so it seems to me)

For now, Vote: HotShot

Safest place for a vote based on last two days I think. Will read through all these posts later tonight.

Well done on the ISIS lynch, especially Dakky! Your read on me is wrong tho. I too thought MM was likely ISIS. I think I did express that fairly clearly even tho I was too late to vote.

I'm willing to follow PTlowe's lead. However there may have been no killing due to a protection too or another reason.
I might vote hotshot but part of me wants to believe him - the way he confessed to being blocked... There are others I want to consider too so will hold off voting until everyone has checked in. Also I feel some people are off the radar due to inactivity and stuff but should not be dismissed.

However we have a solid lead and under normal circumstances hotshot would have to elaborate before being let off. As I said tho - the lack of a N kill could be due to another reason, but we should hear more from Hotshot I feel before dismissing him as a D3 suspect.

So basically you confirm you HAVE a role (and not being ordinary NATO sided country survivor) while you don't believe scum would come with such a claim?
From my point of view, either you or both of you are scum.
Everything points to the fact you're protecting ptlowe despite he voted you. Waiting for another bandwagon so you both can switch quickly???

If I was ISIS and looking for bandwagons to join yesterday, I would have joined the Talapus bandwagon; at the time I voted for mitch, Talapus was L-2, and me putting him at L-1 probably would have gotten him lynched since he wasn't defending himself. Instead I was the third vote for mitch because I felt he was the stronger case, and helped the momentum swing to mitch instead, and turns out we were right and he was ISIS. If I was ISIS I would have never voted for mitch at that point, I would have either gone with talapus or been "active" by starting a random case on someone else.

Since it seems I probably won't survive the day without claiming, I guess I have to claim... I am Russia and don't side with either NATO or ISIS, I'm just trying to mind my own business and stay out of the way. I am a pure third party survivor, not NATO sided, so I'm guessing I can't be recruited either, I just have to stay alive. Since the ISIS killer is dead, hopefully they won't be able to kill me for saying that I do actually have a power that I have been trying to help town with so far (although not too successfully yet). I am a random JOAT... I point at someone, and they have a 25% chance each of being roleblocked, killed, investigated, or doctored. Night 1 I pointed at Epitaph because I (along with many others day 1) were suspicious of him. I was informed I did a roleblock on him, which obviously didn't really do anything. Night 2 I targeted wing because he has been acting so strange this game, but obviously I was roleblocked so nothing happened.

This part means nothing if Talapus and you are both scum. It would be an excellent move on your part to target the 3rd scum to divert the votes.
This only proves you are town if Talapus is also proved to be town.

This part I am inclined to believe though.

Therefore, my top picks for lynch would be Talapus or TWR.

So you are basically claiming sk?

I have told you my role. So roleblock would not do anything. Investigation would not achieve anything. Doctor would be a waste. So you were trying to kill me. Sounds like sk to me.

For those asking, when you are in danger of being lynched, the auto action is to vote for another bandwagon. Notice how Tal moaned and whined but didnt actually vote Mitch till very late in the day.

First off, Unvote.

I can totally buy Russia as a bit player is a setup like this. Also, I'd doubt someone would be dumb enough to fake claim a country such as that.

Your logic here is lost is translation for me. I don't get how you think this "proves" that...We'd need hard facts, investigation, or lynch to "prove" it but guess that's my thought.

As for best course of voting there certainly isn't much to go off of for this day yet. If I had to choose off top of head I'd probably say TWR because the fact that no one night killed them yet makes them a strong candidate for getting recruited already by ISIS. A good red herring pick for them anyway if they wanted to buy time but I still have doubts thinking TWR would have started as ISIS this game.

Guess I'll have to look over yesterday for better options as I was hoping there would be something to base it off of today but not really...maybe look back at mitch's actions and see if there is a correlation somewhere but need to get home from work first.

I'm inclined to believe Hotshot but let's think about it logically. It's a powerful role - roleblock/kill/investigate/doctor.
He was roleblocked last night. That means there's a roleblocker and a JOAT?!?!?! And if there's a doc? That means each night there could be 2 blocks, 2 protections, 2 kills etc.
Which brings me to the kill part. If I was a JOAT with a 1 in 4 chance of killing I would not use my power lightly. He seems to justify his use of his power knowing that...but it has a great potential to be a fake claim in my eyes.

Logically...however, talking about my gut, I'm inclined to believe him.

If we are to believe HotShot then I would want to look at Wing who acuses him of being SK. Just didn't like the way he did it. However I don't think Wing is ISIS either....

I dunno. Wanna hear from Rage and others.

Hotshot's ability is too unpredictable to be of any use to us, but since we can roleblock; I'd rather we lynch someone else.
Basically it's better in my eyes to RB a 3rd party with ability (or ISIS if he's lying) while lynching someone who might be ISIS but may or may not have an ability.

I think TWR is the way to go. Suspicious behavior and using meta defense on D1, barely any activity and avoiding the mitch vs. tala discussion/bandwagoning on D2.

hmm, it looks like i am emerging as the favourite to be lynched today.

Therefore, even though currently there is only one vote on me, i am going to claim.

I am Kuwait, Another Nato sided survivor, although i have been told that may change as the game progresses, i have had no notification that it has been changed.

I guess that means that i am available to be recruited to isis but as yet i have not been so recruited.

I could claim a power role such as doc in order to save my ass, however, being town i am reluctant to lie, I have no power role, no night actions whatsoever.

Lynching me would therefore not be a great loss to town, but we must try avoid a mislynch.

What makes this game especially difficult is that there is little to be gained by looking back as D1 someone behaving very townish could be recruited to isis on day 2.

So where do my suspicions lie?

Wing's accusation of hotshot being sk is ridiculous, he claims joat, there is absolutely no evidence that he is sk, just because he has a 25% chance of killing someone at night does not make him sk.

also keeping a close eye on tala, mainly cos of dakky's suspicion of him

I believe Hotshot. He could just as easily said he was Town and no one would be the wiser. His role is also a double edged sword. He is a wild card and his win condition makes perfect sense.

I do not think he would be a good lynch. Now before people start saying, "your not playing to your meta",I get sick of that crap, this is a cult game. We lynch him and he flips 3rd party, well the day has been wasted cause the recruiter is still around. Now is HS the recruiter? Again no.

HS would not create such a questionable, easily lynch able claim.

I know that you claim day 1 with a survivor role... but if you look at my past games I usually don't. I think the risk of getting lynched day 1 because no-one has anyone better to lynch is too high to claim survivor on day 1. And people like IB would have been all in favor of lynching me then. Plus, with also having a role, I would have been in more danger of getting killed by scum early on if they didn't have anyone better to target, since I have a small chance of exposing them.

Actually, I believe you too, because my role said the same thing. No way you could have known about "changes" as the game progresses, so that's it.

It leaves this from my point of view (quoted first post):
1. Tobikera NATO
3. Ragian probably NATO
4. BGtheBrain replaced by Pershy unknown
5. JBFloyd unknown
7. the white rose probably NATO
8. Hotshot53 probably NATO
10. BuJaber unknown
11. Talapus unknown
12. WinstonTurqhill replaced Day 1 by WingCmdr Ginkapo unknown
13. iron butterfly unknown
14. dakky21 NATO
15. ptlowe probably NATO

From above, I'd lynch JBFloyd, Talapus, BuJaber, Pershy, IB or Wing. (in any order)

My first target would be Pershy as I already said, because he was skimming the talk and posting bursts of words without saying anything useful.

vote pershy and let's see where that gets us.

travelling for work so not a lot of time to catch up read things over in detail. I feel like almost half the people have claimed. Does anyone have the time to take Dakky's post and put in the claims... countries and roles? Given the number of claims, I feel like we're close to mass claim territory. I realize mass claim is the lazy man's out and given LSU's claim the setup was crazy and not able to be easily understood that it could backfire if the mod is clever as he says. But unless I've been straight up lied to, I feel like there are only a few possibilities in play. I feel like maybe 5 people haven't full claimed yet, correct me if I'm wrong.

It won't get you very far. And as for your accusations I think all posts are composed of words, not just mine. If you think I didn't say anything useful then that's a matter of opinion. As for skimming I admitted to skimming as I had to speed read 20 pages and apologised for it but tried to catch up to speed as best I could. Also if I had been NATO I would have tried to get on a bandwagon, but I didn't. I played it cautiously and wanted to put my vote where it would count. I didn't realise the deadline was so near, I missed it unfortunately but I had expressed my suspicion of MM

pershy wrote:I didn't find Madmitche's welcome scummy, I liked it. However it seems that my predecessor BG did find him scummy and since I'm following in BG's footsteps I have to take that into account. Also I didn't like where MM was on the vote list for Mandy

pershy wrote:Yes. Thanks for the vote count LSU. I'm still deciding where to put my vote. I'm reluctant to vote Talapus. Tal, we need to hear from you. I think he might be telling the truth but his claim got him heat. Over him and MM I'd be more likely to vote Mitch.

pershy wrote:Oh sorry - I missed the deadline. But for the record I agree with the decision to lynch MM.
BG also suspected him and having read back a bit I can see why. Fingers crossed we got it right this time....

So I'm glad that I FOSed the person who turned out to be ISIS among my useless posts. As I said BG was well against MM - look back, by voting me you are also voting BG. So that is a wasted vote. Seriously, look back and try and decide if there is any way in the world BG and MM could be on the same side. Not a chance. Just sayin. I could quote a bunch of BG stuff but I won't bother, I will try and read back and do some scum hunting. If we look at MM throughout D1 and 2 we should be able to get a pretty clear idea who could also be ISIS. I plan to do that tonight.

I would FOS dakky but I don't think he's ISIS.

Interesting idea JB. Feels too early for a mass claim for me, but with the set up of countries etc. we may be able to sniff out a fake claim.
