A few days ago i was on the train, past rush hour, nice and quiet in the coach. Pull up to a stop, and some lady gets on, sits in the quadrant next to mine, and calls up her friend. I'm sitting there trying to do work on my computer. She starts talking about bullshit like she fell down and now shes bleeding, and some guy named Francois, who invited her to the grand prix in Montreal. She doesn't even have the courtesy to try and be quiet, especially when she starts talking about extremely personal things.
The small talk ends, and she talks about some sort of medical procedure, and also mentioning Francois. She talks about some sort of $20,000 procedure where they get flown down to the US for free, free night at hotel, and a whole day of consultation, where they can pick a doctor.
I'm thinking, oh shit, Francois has cancer, but something was off because this lady was absolutely giddy. Then she starts talking about how the doctors know everything about them, such as eye color, hair color, sports, health, genetics, grades in university.
Grades in university? Why do they need that for cancer treatment? Then she talks about donors, and how Francois only wants a donor who signed a waver which restricts their sperm to only one child. She's absolutely glowing. I took a good look at her, and she was a 4/10 lady who looked like she was 43 with shit skin quality from years of tanning.
As a young man, I couldn't wrap my head around Francois. This guy is spending 20k on an expired lady so that she can get pregnant from another man, of their choosing. I thought that most of the joy of having children was seeing yourself in them as they grew up.
Would you guys do what Francois did? Could you do it, know everyday that it's not your child. Sure it's fun when times are good. But when your wife's a bitch forcing you to save college tuition for the teenager who brings you misery, what then? Or what if she just divorces you, and your one of those guys paying child support for not your child?
