Of course, we can expect this type of nonsense from an uneducated cracker.

I'm not going to give you a history lesson about the Dixicrats who fled the Democrat Party in the 60s and 70s and became Republicans. Nope, that would blow your mind, as it had to do with the civil rights movement.

Stupid is, is what stupid does.

Thank you Bernie for showing just how dumb you truly are. Why did they join Republicans, because they knew for a fact what the democratic party truly was, otherwise they would have stayed democrats, the republicans were behind MLK and were going to repeal Jim Crowe, and enact civil rights which they did! So a few democrats jumped ship good for them.

So the fact that Trump has flipped parties on multiple occasions, been friends with the Clintons for some years, openly endorsed by David Duke, espouses fear-mongering and hate speech should all just be looked over?

Me, if I do vote, it will be 3rd party. Trump is Trash (hey, not a bad slogan), and so is Clinton. Note how the only thing people agreed on and talked about at the RNC was "Clinton shouldn't be President!". On pretty much everything else, there is no unity. This is not the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt (who would kick Trump's ass for claiming to be a Republican), Eisenhower, or even Reagan and the Bushs.

The GOP of now, is being run by those that support authoritarian and dictatorial practices over actual democracy. They espouse fear and hatred against a minority in order to rile people up.

But how will Trump accomplish even half of what he has promised? "Make Mexico foot the bill for an impractical wall!" Mexico has enough internal issues. They can't be bothered to build a wall to appease a ranting Oompa Loompa. And that's just 1 problem in Trump's "promises".
"Eh, whatever."

Vote how you think is best muy, I don't recall that I ever jumped on the trump train.
All I did was point out some history that most are not aware of, won't vote trump either, but am weighing how to vote, just praying that Hillary doesn't win.
Vote its still a right, for now

Ya know, if everybody did this, and I mean everybody, then the RNC and the DNC would be toast. They'd be finished as parties in their current form. They'd have to change, they'd have to cast off their failed rhetoric and class baiting among other things. In particular the career politicians are extremely unsavory. It'd be nice to put them out to pasture.

That would be a good thing.

Serve the State for a short time if one must and then get back into the real world with the rest of us and make a living producing something or performing some service that has demand. We don't need any career parasites like politicians sucking away our sweat and labors and deciding which brown people around the world to bomb next.

Wall Street rejoicing as Hillary picks Kaine for VP
Wall Street lobbyists reacted with relief to the Kaine selection on Friday, not because the senator is particularly soft on financial reform but because his name is not Elizabeth Warren.

"He has demonstrated some interest in banking issues as evidenced by last week's letter," one of the top Wall Street lobbyists in Washington emailed POLITICO, referring to a letter Kaine signed urging the Federal Reserve to consider easing regulations on regional banks, which drew some progressive fire."He's a sign of Hillary being Hippocratic in her pick -- he does no harm. Time will tell if progressives show real angst or if it's just fringe groups."

The lobbyist added that a Warren pick, while never viewed as likely, would have "split the Street" between Clinton and Trump. Now industry cash is likely to keep flowing to Clinton.

Trump can't help who endorses him. That's irrelevant. But Clinton supports Robert Byrd a former KKK shit head.

Notice the word mentor. Definition of mentor is an experienced and trusted adviser. What advise did the former KKK give Hillary?

It's just more obvious than usual. Normally, the leader of anything will be an asshole. Hierarchical organizations help ensure that shit rises to the top. A sociopath has clear-cut advantages over a decent person in any political system. In a democracy, being able and willing to tell outrageous lies without hesitation or self-doubt is the number one prerequisite for high office. Lest you think that's a condemnation of democracy, it isn't. The problem is even worse in other types of organization.

Other than Jimmy Carter, I can't think of any U.S. president in the last 100 years who wasn't a malignant sociopathic thief and liar. Lest you think that's a condemnation of the U.S., it isn't. I can't think of any leaders of any other countries who aren't scumbags, either. I'm sure there are some, somewhere, I just can't name them offhand. Vaclav Havel wasn't a scumbag, I suppose, just a malleable fool. Every now and then some of the smaller countries let someone slip through the cracks.

Trump and Hillary aren't more evil than most leaders. They're just more brazen about their evil. I guess we've reached that level of social organization where the costs of pretending to be less evil than you are just aren't worth the bother any more. Especially in a two-party system, they know that people are motivated more by voting against something than by voting for something, so it's more cost-effective to just focus on the negatives of the other guy than to worry about presenting any positives for your own side. In the multiparty countries it's still not quite as bad as all that, but it isn't a huge amount better, either.

I get what you're saying, Duk. The "problem" is not limited to the US, or to this period of history.

Trump is an absolute imbecile imo. It's not even a matter of him agreeing with some of my beliefs...is the man even sane?!! (WMD conspiracy crap, Cruz's dad involved in JFK assassination just to name two).

Then you've got Hillary the Liar with the Benghazi situation. A YouTube video...blaaaaahhh. Did anyone hear the latest about Wikileaks showing that the DNC was coordinating against Bernie Sanders to ensure Clinton's nomination. I'm no fan of the Bern, but shouldn't voters decide their nominee?

I dunno, you've got a billionaire businessman vs probably the most successful female politician in US history.

Any way you look at it, they're impressive candidates. Take away the unique selling points and you have a very charismatic guy who speaks to the Repub base, and a Dem candidate with great credentials and background.

Garbage, they ain't. Either could walk into a better job than president if they were so inclined.

Still, isn't it fun to play to the cheap seats?

Democratic Party chair banned from speaking at Democratic Party convention

The head of the Democratic National Committee will not speak at the party's convention next week, a decision reached by party officials Saturday after emails surfaced that raised questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, whose stewardship of the DNC has been under fire through most of the presidential primary process, will not have a major speaking role in an effort "to keep the peace" in the party, a Democrat familiar with the decision said. The revelation comes following the release of nearly 20,000 emails. One email appears to show DNC staffers asking how they can reference Bernie Sanders' faith to weaken him in the eyes of Southern voters. Another seems to depict an attorney advising the committee on how to defend Hillary Clinton against an accusation by the Sanders campaign of not living up to a joint fundraising agreement.

"She's been quarantined," another top Democrat said, following a meeting Saturday night.

The Democrat familiar with the decision said it was done in hopes of preventing chaos on the convention floor among Sanders supporters.

Symmetry wrote:I dunno, you've got a billionaire businessman vs probably the most successful female politician in US history.

Well let's start off with the later ... " the most successful female politician in US history" ... can you name one "success?"

She only has political power because of her foundation and that foundation originally got political power because her husband was the POTUS with an internation reputation of selling his (and the nation's) soul in order to get a few million bucks. (When he was POTUS, we actually gave away advanced missile technology to China which now allows that nation the ability to knock out our satellites at will.)

She then double downed on that advantage while Secretary of State. But if her husband had not been POTUS, both of them would have been brought up on Treason charges. (Uranium One was her specialty; her husband received huge speaking fees because she allowed Russia to get a major stake in the mining company.)

Hillary has been a REJECT since the Democrats kicked her off of the Nixon impeachment proceedings because they thought she had no respect for the law.

But then Democrats have a different standard and rich ones have an even greater one. That's why people continue to insist that a person who drove a woman off of a bridge and left her to drown was a "Great Senator."

And now we get to Trump, the "billionaire businessman." What's the old saying? "You can make a small fortune - provided you start with a large one."

Trump is a brand name. "Trump" this, "Trump" that. They all rise and fall based on the economy. He is a good crony capitalist. He knows how to use the government to get things cheap. He loves eminent domain laws.

meanwhile ...

BREAKING NEWS ... We might see this race repeat again in miniature next year ...

Donald Jr. is considering running for Mayor of NYC
Chelsea was already considered as a candidate for Mayor next year.

Now that could be very interesting.
